I just had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Gin Spa. I opted for the head massage with Chloe and its one of the best treatments I have had anywhere.
From beginning to end it was such a relaxing experience with everyone being so friendly and professional.

I had a gift card for £115. Unfortunately, I have been very ill for the last 13 months. The last thing on my mind as I struggled to recover, was a gift voucher. I suddenly realised this week that it had expired. Because it was for a large amount of money, I reached out to them. It was a very brief exchange of 2 or 3 emails, culminating in 'our system won't allow it.' What does that even mean?? Heartless. No compassion. How dare I be ill...

We stopped here for both an afternoon tea and massage. Both experiences were great, love the location, the food and service was great

Was looking forward to my full body massage for 1hr however expectations fell short unfortunately. It wasn't really a full body and I'm sure it wasn't an hour either. The spa is lovely and has potential to be great with the pre and post services however I expected my head, hands and feet to be massaged for a full body service and especially at that price of 95pounds. The masseuse was lovely and seemed new to the job, she gave me a foot soak (literally soaked my feet in a bowl and dried them) which didn't make much sense to me as I wouldve preferred a foot scrub/foot massage to make it worth it. This ate into my massage time. She then asked me to change and massaged my neck, back and legs. By the time it started it was already 10mins after my appointment time and exactly an hour after my appointment time I was dressed and sitting waiting for my Gin, so it seemed to me that it was actually less than an hour (maybe around 45mins). I also wasn't asked if there are any areas to target in my massage which I would've liked. I wouldn't assume you will get a full body so suggest making a point of saying what you want included. Definitely room for improvement but a lovely spa in the center of town nonetheless.

This was my first time going to The Gin Spa and I was really excited as I had never had a massage/spa treatment before. While the overall experience was relaxing and the masseuse I had was skilled, I must say that this spa feels overpriced for what I was expecting. My back, neck and shoulder massage felt more like a back, arm and hand massage and I came out lacking the level of relief I was so hoping for. However, I need to be fair and say this might be because I should've asked for a deep tissue massage instead. The staff were very nice though, and I can see why people would enjoy an afternoon gin with a friend here.

My friend and I were at the gin spa today for her 60th birthday. When we arrived both the ladies on Reception gave us such a lovely welcome. We then went to the spa area which was cosy and relaxing. I opted for the reflexology and back,shoulder and neck massage. My therapist Leanne was friendly, welcoming and made me feel comfortable. Both treatments where excellent and Leanne explained the reflexology outcome at the end of it. Afterwards we had a lovely afternoon tea that consisted of freshly made sandwiches and lovely cakes. We couldn't finish it. The lady who served us with our tea couldn't do enough for us. Customer service the entire time we were there was excellent. Thank you yo everyone for making our day. We will definitely be back soon!

My partner and I came here for an afternoon tea and treatment package during our trip to Scotland. The massage/facial/reflexology was an incredible experience and the intimate relaxation, even offering a couple goodies to take home with us afterwards and a gin cocktail while we waited for our treatments. The afternoon tea was very good. Lots of choice, a wide variety of teas to choose from. I would definitely come again, my best spa experience so far

I have been now a number of times to the spa and can honestly say my latest visit was the worst full body massage (if you could call it that) that I have ever had.
Like the previous it was a light (as the tub was almost empty) application of cream.
The therapist looked like she had been sucking a lemon. I was given a cold foot soak and when I asked for hot water in it water was poured from the kettle no temperature check done and told to put my feet in it whilst therapist stood there hand on hip.
No telling me what the treatment involved, never asked what cream I wanted her to use or that there were 6 potential options. I had to ask for the correct one.
Cream was rubbed in. I asked for more pressure to be applied. This fell on deaf ears.
I took an afternoon off work for this. What a waste of time!

Sadly, we did not have a good experience, it was dark and cozy, but definitely a makeshift commercial space. The massage therapists are young ladies with no experience and schooling to do nails (after five minutes, I asked the therapist as I knew she was a teenager, just hired for a job and absolutely no training or experience in massage therapy). My husband and I paid for an hour deep tissue massage (he was in & out in 40 minutes), and the poor girl could not even press harder than a five-year-old child. My adult son paid for a one hour reflexology and he was pet on his feet with absolutely no pressure and definitely not Reflexology . I do not blame the young ladies as they are just doing a job that they were hired and not trained for. The boss should be ashamed, advertising falsely & hiring unqualified workers.
