Terrible place, bouncers think that they own the world and they can do whatever they want. Was denied of the return entry because accidentally pushed parking cone that was next to my leg. After the confrontation with the bouncer, I was called pr**k and tw*t for some reason and then was brought to notice that I’m denied of any further entries at this place. Honestly the worst staff I have ever encountered. Do not recommend anyone to visit this place, only if you want to completely ruin your mood and be oppressed by the imaginary laws that the staff is trying to implement. 0/10

My daughter attended here after having her driving licence taken from her at the club next door Kokomo, She still had her passport and bank cards to show as ID so went to Bamboo next door, in contrast to Kokomo, she said the bouncers and bar staff were lovely and she felt much safer and the club itself was far superior, she said better atmosphere, music and staff. She will now choose here to go with her friends and will not be going near Kokomo again.

Went as a group after Sports Fair & Social with Strathclyde Sailing, they knew we were coming so got in no problem. Went to the bathroom (simply needed to pee) and had two bouncers (or whatever you want to call the SGL guys in blue) follow me in. First one left again, other one confronted me just as I had washed my hands and was about to rejoin my group about either consenting to a search or leaving immediately...naturally I opted for the latter so lasted about 5 minutes in the place. Clearly door staff were oblivious to the situation as they even offered me a stamp for my wrist while being 'thrown out' by this £10.50/hr jobsworth - must have been a quiet night!!

Bathrooms had puke in them all night. Bouncers were horrendously rude and were always trying to kick people out. They are comfortable using slurs. I witnessed them kicking someone out which was probably the scariest experience i have had at a glasgow club. Bouncers were incredibly hostile towards the unassuming customer and always trying to escalate the situation.
My friends and I did have a decent time in the beginning of the night, but between the disgusting bathrooms, mediocre music, and scary bouncers, i would not go again.

AGGRESIVE BOUNCERS. DEFINITELY DON'T RECOMMEND GOING.
Was in Bamboo last night (19/03/22) for the first time, I'd heard lots of bad reviews about the place but me and my pals thought we'd give it a chance. I can safely say it's the worst club experience I've ever had. The staff were rude and clearly untrained to cope with the amount of customers but that's nothing compared to what happened as the night went on. I was in with my 2 friends, we barley had anything to drink as the queues were massive but my other friend got a bit drunk but wasn't causing any issues and when I was at the toilet, a blonde female bouncer approached him and asked him to leave. Which is completely understandable. We both have worked in nightclubs before so we know what it's like to be dealing with drunk customers. My friend couldn't hear the bouncer as the music was loud and she repeated herself a couple of times and instead of calmingly escorting him out she grabbed his arm and shoved him and he nearly fell so he of course was annoyed at her and was a bit cheeky. The bouncer then escalated the situation and aggressively grabbed my pal and pinned him against the wall with her arm at his throat. Another bouncer jumped in too and my pal is only about 5ft 2 so they used that to their advantage and were shouting at him like lunatics whilst pinning him on the wall. Kicking someone out when they've had too much to drink Is fine but the way they handled it was disgusting. I've seen loads of bad reviews about the female bouncers, and other similar stories about the club in general so I doubt it's a one off incident. The only reason they let go is because I got in the middle of them all and calmed the bouncer down and said I'd take him outside. I've worked closely with bouncers in jobs and I've never seen bouncers act so unprofessional. Under law
Bouncers are not free to engage in excessive force or violence as they see fit. Bouncers can only use force if it is first used against them which it wasn't. I would definitely not recommend going to Bamboo or Komomo either as they are the same business.

Went to bamboo on Sunday night the bouncers were A1 at the door no hassle like you get in Ireland, all the bar staff were lovely also. Especially Billy. Billy is a credit to management and the establishment as a whole. Really funny and entertaining guy and made the night a memorable one. Right on Billy

1 star only because I have to leave a star. Me and my workmates were on a Christmas night and were looking for somewhere to go and at the door they asked for Covid passports etc and Id which we had but clearly they had decided from looking at us that we weren’t getting in and then said no don’t think you will like it in here it’s very studenty actually none of your party are getting in tonight now and we were told to go get a kebab and go home after it. Sorry but the 2 bouncers as you call them were clearly not letting us in because we were a bit older than the students and sorry but the bouncers were probably older than us and stuck in a time warp with the undercuts and ponytails on them. Avoid at all costs as the bouncers are clearly on a power trip and only want people in that have student ids handy.

. My friend lost his tag for the cloakroom and instead of checking the pockets which had his id, card and keys in to identify it was him they made him wait an hour during which I refused to leave him so they shouted at both of us. Also his house keys were in the jacket and they told us to come back however it wasn’t open then for 3 days and he needs to get into his house. No manager on the scene to speak to and as we were there so many people were having the same situation. Staff are so rude I’ve never seen anything like it they were acting like they were on geordie shore or something not at their job. So bad seriously avoid - no effort to help anyone and could have genuinely put someone in a dangerous situation. Also saw security rag someone outside because he was asking for his jacket back wtf. Also drinks are so expensive. There is also a girl on the cloakroom that was on a wierd power trip and seemed to enjoy arguing with customers which is weird and so unprofessional like if u wanna be argumentative save that for ur personal life.
