100% old pensioners pub so if you like the smell of stale pee and sticky floors this is the pub for you. Stay clear if you're lgbtq on a wednesday and sunday when a rather feral old couple who are rather homophobic tread the boards there. Karaoke/swingers night Wednesdays are sure to make you wish you needed your ears syringed.

I popped in for a pint and the girl behind the bar treated me like a long lost brother. Fantastic pub made by the willingness of the staff to make you feel welcome. Will return with friends, too good not to share

“Old School” community bar, not for the faint of heart - and definitely not for the woke brigade - but haven’t enjoyed myself so much for years. The bar staff were brilliant, and we were welcomed like regulars, despite us never having been there before!
A real gem, we will definitely be back!

Wow.
What a great time. The 2 bar maids Helen and Karen were fantastic company.
If your trying to find a traditional Glasgow pub then I would highly recommend popping in for a drink.
Just don’t ask for a lemon in your corona lol…….

Lovely wee pub warm welcome and friendly locals and stay definitely worth a visit if your looking for a traditional Glasgow pub with loads of banter and great prices

Very friendly people, clean. Was close to our flat. Love the karaoke night they have...you can hear them for blocks and some really good

McKinnons is a traditional Glasgow pub, no frills , don’t be coming here looking for good food or fancy cocktails,that’s not what’s on the menu here,but if you are a tourist or a visitor to Glasgow looking for a good pint and some friendly banter then there is nowhere better than here.
This bar in my opinion is all about the woman who runs the place, unfortunately I don’t know her name but she is a fantastic host who has a great personality , she welcomes every single person into her bar like a long lost friend. There are many bars in Glasgow where a visitor/tourist can feel a little uncomfortable but in here you will feel like you are a welcome guest , so,as much as I’d love to say this is a typical Glasgow pub , it’s not really because I can’t really think of any other pub in Glasgow where you will receive such a warm welcome , and yes the beer is great and there is a good selection of spirits too

Many look down on little private traditional pubs working to old fashioned values ...

We were in Glasgow for 4 nights.
Plenty of pubs there. people watching TV and general chatter but McKinnons Bar, well all I can say it's full of nutters!
The bar staff were always friendly and remembered us each night.
The customers all made us welcome and we can remember a few of them from a visit 2 years ago. This is a real pub which I hope never changes.
A real Dive with real friendly people.
Music through the back room, sports on t.v's and lots of chatter. In fact lots happening all the time. Great people and they all seem to know each other.
Best Pub in Glasgow. Busy and Cheap beer.
Goes to show if this pub can do it other's can.
Wetherspoons....... eat your hearts out.
