Terrible, terrible staff working in the fragrance department(bottom floor). My group of friends and I ended a nice shopping day by going into frasers to smell a perfume that we wanted to test, when we first went into frasers we started with a shelf of perfumes that where new to us when a member of staff came up to us and asked if we where getting on okay and needed any help, my friend and I said “yes thank you we are, but no thank you” and that was the end of that conversation, me and that same friend then went to the red Caroline Herrera perfume while the rest of my friends went off to the side to check another perfume out, i looked for paper tester to spray the perfume, however there where none in sight apart from looked like a used mochinno tester, so i spayed the perfume, not at the stand but near it, the other colleuge called “claire/clare” then came came over to me and snapped at me saying “don’t spray it at my counter, spray it on the counter that’s why they are there, i then said “sorry i didn’t see any” and then she slammed them down on the other side of the perfume poster, which isn’t see through so i couldn’t see the testers, she then walked round my friend and ‘muttered’ “for god sake”. i then asked my friend if i heard her correctly and she said “yes you did” i was then taken aback and then i put the perfume down and said to my friend “i don’t want to smell it anymore i don’t want to give it my time of day”. I said this quietly to my friend, unlike Claire who was very obnoxious with everything she said. As i said this she then continued to say “well don’t then” in a cheeky, obnoxious, rude tone. I then walked over to join my friends and asked if “we can just leave cos i’m not having this” Claire then walked over up to me, again in a rude tone asking “what you not having” i then continued to say “the way you spoke to me was very disrespectful” and claire asked “well what did i say” i then responded with “you said for god sake, then you also said well don’t then, being very rude” and she responded with “yes i did say that” i was very shocked to what was going on. she then proceeded to ask me “if you where in ur own room would you spray it on your counters” and i tried to make a joke cos i couldn’t believe a grown woman was actually speaking to a young 17 year old girl like this, i then said “probably cos i’m quite a messy person” while sort of being smiley, she then said “well i’m sick of people of spraying my counters and making them messy, 100s of people are doing it and I'm sick of it” i then questioned to myself why this was my fault that many people were doing b the same thing as me but shes all of a sudden taking it out on me after being noting but respectful to her and her colleague. i then ends it with “sorry what was your name again” and she said “my name is Claire” in a rude, cheeky tone again. I then started crying as i was just so angry and confused to why this was happening after a nice day of shopping and catching up with friends. As we all walked away, i look back to claire shaking her head and her colleague laughing, laughing at her own colleague making a 17 year old cry after the way she was spoken to. No idea what Claire is going through at home, but clearly it’s affecting her if she’s able to make someone physically cry, I guarantee if that was her daughter or granddaughter, she would of been disgusted as she should be. Clare do better please.

Annual pilgrimage to real shops and Frasers staff are not better behaved than they were last year. Clearly these reviews have no impact on customer service training. Not one member of staff acknowledged me, offered assistance or attempted communication apart from with each other. Appreciate over 60s are not their preferred demographic however we so want to buy stuff. Invisible to the beauty counter staff who are only interested in preening and speaking to each other. Boots scored with sales. Never again.

Overall a very poor service from House of Fraser. I was gifted an hoodie at christmas time which was faulty and when I tried to return it to exchange the item or get it refunded I was refused despite providing a gift receipt and being within the return period. I was advised to get in touch online. Avoid this at all costs - the customer service team online are useless. I continuously received responses from different people who had equally no idea what issue I was trying to resolve. This went on for a number of months, and they instructed me to attend the store. When I did return I spoke to a very helpful manager (the one saving grace) who said she had no idea why I was refused the return, but now that the return window was past there was nothing could be done. Despite this being the fault of the store representatives sending me away the first time and then online representatives being of little use in resolving the issue. I am now stuck with quite an expensive piece of clothing that cannot be worn.

Really disappointed with the customer service. I was down in Glasgow for a getaway and decided to treat myself to a Valentino handbag. Costing £130. I also purchased more items in store however the bag is the issue. I got home to Inverness and noticed that there was a defect on the bag (items should be in tact for selling or otherwise stated as defected which it was not). I contacted customer service and finally got through after many failed attempts. I asked if I could post the bag back back to return the item or exchange it. I was told that I would have to return it in person. Given that I live in Inverness it would cost me time and money for the sake of an exchange. I think this is an unreasonable request given the store is at fault for selling damaged items.
I don’t often treat myself and wish I hadn’t bothered. Very poor experience.

Had a coffee at Cafe Nero in HOF. It was served in a chipped cup and when I complained the staff told me they already knew it was chipped but to them it wasn't an issue.

Place was lovely not been in for a while.
Great selection of clothes for all. Not busy but this was due to it being midweek.

I went to HOF last Friday and a lovely girl from the Benefit counter said they had some deals so I went for a look. I bought a couple of things and got home to Edinburgh to find that one of the items hadn't been put in my bag. It cost £25 so understandably I wasn't happy.
I called the store nearly 20 times and didn't get through. It rang so long without an answer that it cut me off time and time again. I googled various numbers and tried them all and none of them work. I have messaged them umpteen times via Instagram and have been told as it was a store purchase that I've to travel back from Edinburgh to Glasgow to discuss the missing item. Clearly that won't be happening and they can't seem to offer a solution. I have asked for the Chief Executive details, have asked for a manager call, have asked to speak to somebody from the Benefit counter and I'm yet to hear anything 4 days later. My messages are being completely ignored.
I've genuinely never had worse service in my life and I'm appalled that they think this is ok.
HOF get your act together! You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Bad service at the Womens`department. Staff not present, had to be tracked down. Apparently very unwilling to assist.

the building is NOT maintained; clothing items are in the wrong place and falling off the hangers, absolutely revolting toilets and fitting rooms, disgusting staircases, extremely tacky cafe and use of floor 4. staff are very friendly but it takes them an unacceptable amount of time to get stock (presumably because it is in the wrong place), it is also understaffed, understocked, and much of the time you must wander around to find someone to help you. it is very clear that the money they make is not being reinvested in the company itself.
