Great staff in the cafe. Really friendly and smiley. Tasty food. Nice coffee. Superb seats in cinema. A great night out.

I rated my review 1 star, as thats the lowest i could go. If i could choose I would choose 0 stars. We came in happy and excited to a 15 rated film. We were met by an aggressive, sad, and rude member of staff. He demanded our ID aggressively and denied us acsess to the film, even though 15 year old children don't carry ID. The other members of staff, many of which were unuseful, and were not helping the situation. The man at the counter aggressively told us to leave and we will never come back. Im traumatised to say the least.

To start it off me and my friends went to this cinema at 8ish and were unpleasantly met with rude and un mannerly staff. Off which denied us access of a 15 plus movie and demanded id even tho 15 year olds don’t have ids yet 💩💩.to add to that there were four staff members all around one counter not doing anything very immature of them !!!!!!

Normally really happy with the cinema restaurant (and keen to support local cinema) but had a disappointing experience. Last night I went with 2 friends for a meal and movie night.
It was busy when we got to the restaurant (happy to see it so busy). We picked a suitable table for 3 people and asked a staff member if it was free; he said it was but it needed to be cleaned which would get done. We waited around for this to happen but it did not; to the point that we were told again when our drinks were being served that the table would get cleaned (at some point) for us. We got our food served on an unclean table and it didn't get cleaned at any point whilst we were there.
I understand they were busy but it also took so long to pay for our meal that we were only just in time to catch the start of the movie. Also noticed a member of staff who seemed to cut in front of us whilst we were waiting to pay for the food; whilst i'm sympathetic that there only seemed to be 2 members of staff serving, I thought this was quite rude.
Whilst in the screen itself; it was overly warm to the point that it was very uncomfortable. Thankfully, the air con did kick in at some point during the start of the film.

Film was good obviously but the room the we were in was absolutely freezing went out to look for someone to say and nobody was about went to complain when we left and all I got told, that he would go and check now and that there was always someone at the front desk, when I can positively say I seen no1 to tell. No money back not even an apology. Even if I did see anyone to actually speak to and inform them I don't think the room would have warmed up in that amount of time as we were literally the only ones in there so not even body heat would help. Sorry but absolutely disgusting response from merlin cinema. Sort the heating out guys so folk can actually enjoy a film and spending over £50 I would expect better response and some heat.

I was highly impressed with this cinema and was an unexpected surprise to see such a large facility with a good variety of show times.
Pleasant venue, nice entrance, good cafe bar, decent wee shop and pleasant staff.
The cinema itself was lovely with nice comfortable and well-designed seats.
Sound and picture quality was spot on.
It’s always nice to support a local cinema in such a good location.
A great facility which made the film more enjoyable!

Today I was going to attend Thurso Merlin Cinema with some friends to watch Barbie. Unfortunately the power had cut out. This was very terrible as we dressed up for this film. As you can most likely tell, we take cinema watching very seriously and this was just not tolerable. This experience was absolutely day ruining. All the employees were saying completely different things.

Great cinema. Staff are very nice and courteous when using the cinema with family and friends. Prices are very reasonable when you purchase the movie magic card or use the Monday 2 for 1 offer. Special Disney offers are featured regularly for families with young children. The main areas are clean and welcoming and there’s lots of parking outside.
Thoroughly recommend the cinema and it’s a great asset for the town.

30 mile round trip to see one-off live event to be told satellite not working; not the first time this has happened. Waste of petrol and evening, very disappointed. Received instant ticket refund but really, could someone not have checked the satellite beforehand? Very reluctant to see another 'event' showing at this cinema.

Chicken burger with extras options 2 is best burger in Thurso.
Kids meals are also good and served quick.

Restaurant offers a GF option on all pizzas, GF chilli, GF option on fish & chips/chicken fillets, plus GF buns on burger menu. Menu available on website/fb page.
