La chiesa non ha particolari pregi artistici, ma ci siamo capitati durante una funzione e con nostra sorpresa abbiamo ascoltato le esibizioni di un piccolo coro con le toghe tradizionali da Gospel. Un modo fantastico per entrare nel clima della vecchia Scozia.

Lovely building, well maintained with impressive architecture to view, but, alas it was closed when we were there so could only view the outside.

Однонефная церковь с двумя боковыми проходами и с мощной квадратной башней с пирамидальной крышей. Довольно стандартная постройка 19 в

very welcoming the people are so friendly and very caring towards there visitors they are always fund raising for church funds

Don't judge this book by its cover. When you open the door and enter you are met with a beautiful church with stain glass windows and the most intricate carvings. What was good too was the tour guide cards they offer are in different languages not just English.

Outside is not really an eye-catcher but when you go inside and see the woodwork, it's very fine and beautiful. Very warm welcome. It worths visit.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door een past vrijwilligers. Het is zeker de moeite waard om even binnen te zitten of wat foto's te maken.

This is a beautiful building well worth a visit, I would highly recommend especially if you are cruising into the port of Greenock, you can pop up for a look, a guided tour can be arranged, if you are here for a few day join us for worship most enjoyable and uplifting.
We are currently without rector however I expect an appointment very soon and by that I mean March/ April 2017 The organ music on a Sunday is nothing short of fantastic and our regular organist Derek is most obliging,

I have a confession to make, and how fitting that I do it while reviewing an episcopal church. I have not been a fan of the title "Pokémon Go". If it was up to me, the title would be "Hunting with friends, part 1, chapter 0: The Search For a New Utopia". And by Jehovah's Witness may God himself smite me down if we haven't just found it with this lovely historical building. Located in union street, this church forms part of the west end of Greenock pokéstop route, along with pokéstops in nearby kelly street, nelson street and ardgowan street. Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, but SEVEN pokéstops in one unbroken loop of blue hunting perfection. Just long enough that walking round will give each pokéstop the requisite amount of time to reset, but not too long as to hurt your feet while hatching those precious, precious eggs. I even found an electabuzz here once, on a summer's eve long, long ago. But I digress. In short, the search for a new utopia has concluded. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, St John's Episcopal Church x

This church is a lovely building and the screen at the alter is out of this world.
Its a shame that when going for communion one cannot access the main alter which is out of this world but the powers to be in the church thought otherwise and prevent the public access to the alter
