We had a wonderful time at the Wellwood Burns center. I went with my family, and we were shown around by Margaret and Rob. They were fantastic, very welcoming, and knowledgeable about all the relics and art displayed in the museum. Would recommend this experience to anyone interested in Robert Burns and the history of Irvine.

Spent a couple of hours here and it is well worth a visit, they have soo much to tell and show.
Interactive videos aimed at both old and young and people who want to tell you all about Burns time in Irvine. The people are friendly welcoming and very knowledgeable and are able to pitch the talks whether you are just interested or an aficionado.
The items on display from Burns life and more are fabulous and some of the will blow you away.
No charge but worth a generous donation in the box on the way out
Well well worth a visit just to see his hand written manuscripts.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in Irvine learning more about Robert Burns. The audio visual is interesting and educational for all ages. The artefacts are fascinating. The directors are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and the welcome was very warm. Great day out.

Superbly maintained and curated attraction. Lots of items of interest to Burns enthusiasts, but lots of general interest too. The property is magnificent. Highly recommended.

Went with 18 other members of Hamilton Burns Club and were made to feel very welcome, and very privileged to see some of the Burns related artefacts held in by the club in Irvine. A great afternoon, and very keen to return in future.

First time visit by 24 members of our Wednesday Club. What a surprise absolutely fantastic, An absolute gem sitting on our doorstep. A must for every Burns enthusiast.

Ok so I’m a member of another Burns Club but apart from that I was well impressed with Wellwood! It’s well laid out with plenty of artefacts to see and an audio/ visual presentation of Burns time in Irvine.
It’s not very far from the Glasgow Vennel and the old part of Irvine where Robert Burns would have lived and worked in the nine months or so that he was there.
The Irvine Burns Club have done a magnificent job of restoring the building and putting it to good use.

We were delighted to be personal guests of Past President Iain Doole who, along with Graham and Margaret, made this a truly memorable visit.
The contents and the display of contents is absolutely stunning and is far above and beyond the NTS museum in Alloway where the lighting is poor and the displays marked in small writing that is difficult to see. NTS would do well to take a leaf out of the Irvine Burns Club book.
There were many highlights during our visit but probably the highlight was being able to handle a Kilmarnock Edition that the Bard himself would almost certainly have handled.
The Directors and Members of Irvine Burns Club have to be congratulated on maintaining this absolute gem of Robert Burns memorabilia and information

We visited the Irvine Burns Club as part of a Geocaching event to celebrate Burns' birthday on 25th Jan. Driven past this hidden gem so many times and never knew what was behind it's doors.
The club members give a fantastic tour and show on the life of Burns in Irvine.
They have loads of collectables and to see some of Burns' handwritten poems and first edition print were great. It's rare that you can get so close and personal with historic items.
It's definitely worth a visit if you want to know more about Burns, Irvine's history or just history in general.
