Amazing nature walks, with excellent park rangers doing a great job, but there's a need for another park ranger on weekends given the popularity.
I have used the park for about three years for keeping fit mixing fast walks running, jogging sprinting over 3miles every day I especially enjoy relaxing in peaceful areas. The park is kept amazingly well & I also take many, perhaps too many photos ...Thank you to the staff & the 3 parks division for this excellent amenity!

A wonderful amenity on our doorsteps, 200 acres of beautiful parkland with many great attractions from playground ,BMX track, St Catherine's Urban craft and food market ( usually runs from March to October, ( dates subject to change)an abundance of trails and tracks, dog park, public toilets at Park Ranger Station.
Park closing times change
throughout the year so it's a good idea to take note of the closing time on the signs as you enter by vehicle, this applies to the Leixlip entrance ( beside Leixlip Fire Station)as well as the Lucan side at Laraghcon.

Little evidence of visitors protecting each other from Covid and no enforcement. Of particular concern is that the majority of vendors ( bar 2) incl food vendors wore no face protection, nor did clients

People here are reviewing two different parks with the same name. Most are reviewing the large park near Lucan and Leixlip outside Dublin which is a fantastic park but the location says near Smithfield and the Four Courts, which is wrong for this park and refers to a smaller park in Dublin City centre which I can't comment on as I have never been to

St Catherine’s Park is fabulous and has lots to amuse young and all age groups. There is a large playground with all the things young children enjoy, a BMX track, a dedicated dog area, loads of car parking, toilet facilities and great walks. You could not ask for more.

The park is absolutely lovely, however I have to unfortunately place a negative review. The park keeper/ ranger who I encountered was extremely rude and aggressive.

Went around this Park on a bright sunny day in May. A charming park with lot of greenery. Refreshed me thoroughly.

Great forest walk in Lucan Demesne alongside the river Liffey. The river and it’s rapids look very interesting. The walking route itself with heights differences is great. And the park is very close to the city.

I was walking in the park along the path with Liffey on the right not the side with the fairy trail but the side after the cow field. About half way down there is a area where canoers go as it’s a wide inlet for the Liffey. As I was walking past here I noticed the park ranger talking to someone and just past them a few other people were gathering down a ravine where overflow of the river would go. standing above the Ravine where people in normal coats and hats etc but below them a big group of people all dressed in black hoodies with their hoods up and white handkerchiefs covering most of their faces apart from their eyes where lined up!!! This freaked me out it was like an intimation or cult meeting of some sort! There wasn’t any cameras so it wasn’t for a movie etc. It was just simply weird as nobody else was around just me and my friend. As we walked passed they all turned to stare at us which was scary to say the least and then they started walking in a line to the normal dressed people as I said like and initiation! now I didn’t see them do anything wrong but that’s not to say after I left they didn’t or did! I just had to share as it was odd and I have never seen anything like that before! I walk in this park every Saturday and love it and will continue to but just wanted to let everyone know to be careful walking alone or at night even though this was 2pm on a Saturday in broad daylight!

Great place to go for summer and winder alike. The walk in the woods and getting the feet wet in the river and the dog park and the bmx tracks and huge play area with the maze, we love every bit of it.

I think you can but I suggest you check with the park rangers office at the car park to be safe.
