Moulin très bien conservé, caché derrière l’auberge, ne pas hésiter à vous avancer.

We were looking at the restaurant next door. Tonnes of parking, I assume for the summer season. Interesting history board.

It was certainly a drive off the beaten track but great to see what we understand is the only working windmill left in Ireland & which was mainly made from driftwood & shipwrecks.
The windmill is certainly in great condition for a structure built n 1846 with the rotating straw cap a unique feature.
Not much else around & we could not ascertain if the restaurant was still open

Dropped in here as staying in the area, and other places closed or had stopped serving at 4pm. Cosy and food good. Server from Banbridge so attentive, nice, professional and helpful. We did not pay enough attention to the windmill adjacent due to hunger pangs but take note this is the only surviving complete windmill in the Republic......and seemingly ask for a key here and you can have an educational wander.. so will return but take note only serving food at weekends this time of year.

So glad I went out of my way to find this windmill. I went on a weekday morning in January so nothing in the small town was open. But what a great site! I think the little restaurant next to it looked adorable so I wish it had been open. It was a lovely drive to the windmill! Glad I went to see it!

A fantastic building showing how people used to make things, we were given the key and left to explore by ourselves which was brilliant. Well worth a visit

The kind of place you’d need to be going to, I don’t think that you would happen on it by mistake. When we visited the pub was closed so just sat on the benches around the windmill and had a picnic while the cows in the next field looked on.
A lot of information on the windmill on the boards onsite which is interesting. It may be better to go here late in the afternoon when the pub is open so you can get keys and get inside. We just enjoyed our picnic in the peace and quiet.

We were staying as a family a few miles away and came with the grandchildren to see the windmill. We were delighted to see how well maintained the area around was with good notices about the windmill and its history. Also there is good parking in Meylers Pub very close by.

I've been there when windmill was closed, but have a good time having a short break in sightseeing. Very quiet place and interesting windmill.
