Wow !!
What a hoot and what a rush.
Fun to be had in the trees here for sure !
From climbing trees to crossing rope bridges to inevitable adrenaline rush of Tarzan swings and zip wires ( my favourite ).
The zip wire over the reservoir adds that added dimension of fun and "Oh F!" cries from above
If you're relatively active you'll enjoy this adventure for sure. less abled and achy joints you can opt to watch the antics of the Apes above you ;0)

Family trip with 14 and 12 year olds. Fantastic challenge. Really impressed by the freedom we were given to do it at our own pace after the really clear safety talk. The instructors are on hand to offer encouragement and help, but not there like “health and safety police,” which was great. My eldest is really nervous about heights. The instructor really helped them do a Tarzan swing, which I really thought they might not do. Better coming from the instructor than their mum! You’re free to bail out at anytime, but there is so much fun to be had, absolutely worth sticking with the challenge. Just don’t look down!!

We loved the go ape experience especially all of the heights, the crew members were all professional (especially Adam) and all the zip wires. The sites were beautiful and made the experience even better! I would definitely return and recommend anyone coming themselves!

Majority in our group are scared of highest! It was such a test of courage for us to try this activity but we've done it! 🥳We all highly recommend! Thanks to all the staff especially Oscar🤗 for making us feel calm with all the banter and for the patience/advice that made us feel safe to take our first jump!🤯😆

Felt completely safe for the whole experience, but the “health and safety” element wasn’t overdone, just perfectly judged. A great intro and trial run on the first site, followed by four more sites which were all thoroughly exciting, and just hard enough to provide a decent challenge for everyone from the 10 year old through the teenagers up to the adults. Zip wires brilliant, Tarzan swings outstanding. Special mention for Oscar who kitted us out, explained and demonstrated brilliantly, and was on hand to entertain us from the ground and explain as necessary. We’ll be back!

A fantastic fun day out. Brilliant safety briefing, very well explained and checking of your knowledge. Plenty of guides around the bottom to help out if needed. As for the course, it was tough but a great deal of fun. Took 3 1/2 hours to complete the briefing and course. Small queue at some of the trickier points as people build their courage but nothing too long plus it was half term week so busy. Left completely shattered but happy. Well worth having a go.

Arrived at go ape for our 1pm session and had a really thorough safety briefing from really friends staff and then moved onto ‘zone 1’ which is really just three small obstacles set about 1-2 foot off the ground to make sure people know what they’re doing. We finished this about 1:30-1:45 and walked down to ‘zone 2’ ready to start the main event. Here we waited for nearly an hour and a half before we even managed to climb the first ladder. There had been several children earlier on who, once on the obstacle decided they didn’t want to do it and unfortunately there is no way down for them, this caused long delays and tailbacks. Several people left the queue due to the wait.
Once this was cleared and we were able to start in earnest we had great fun, the obstacles are just the right balance of scary and do-able and some of the harder obstacles give you an easier alternative route. Theres loads of safety signs around the course so you know how to clip your harness onto each obstacle and plenty of opportunities for photos (make sure you have a pocket with a zip!) There’s plenty of staff around but they don’t hover or rush you along and they were all really friendly. Not including the long wait at the beginning it took us about 2 hours to compete the whole course and that was at a gentle pace.
I’ve seen several people say the age limit of ten years is suitable but I would say this very much depends on the child and from what I saw on the day it could potentially be higher. This is a high assault course with some gaps that I struggled to stretch across (I’m 5”7)and as I said, once you are up there you either have to go back the way you came (which involves everyone behind you going back down too) or press on until you’ve finished that obstacle. Zone 1 could potentially do with being higher of the ground to give people a realistic taste of what it’s like before they start the main thing.
Overall a great day and I would highly recommend but it’s down to luck on the day what kind of groups you have in front of you and these determine how long you will queue.

Came on Saturday for a fun filled afternoon. We went for the safety briefing at the start, and the lady told us the access code for each obsticle to gain access "as some depressed people would use this to commit scuicide" and started laughing! This was in no way a laughing matter and made the whole experience sour. I think she needs to go on a training course about depression. Absolutely disgusting!!

Is it possible to take a small camera round the course & take photos?

You can take a camera or your phone if it fits in your pocket and it’s easy to take photos at certain points around the course like on the platforms but obviously if you drop it you can’t just climb down and retrieve it there and then only at certain parts along the course...
I had my phone in my pocket and managed quite easily

Hi
Could anyone tell me what time Go Ape at Rivington is open until on a Saturday please. Just trying to work out of a 3pm slot would be enough time to do the course. It will be our first time.
Thank you

Thanks for getting in touch and for thinking of us. Our original Tree Top Adventure normally takes between 2-3 hours to complete. In Spring/Summer months we run half hourly sessions at the weekend up until 16:00/17:00. It all depends on the amount of daylight. In July/August the last session of the day is likely to be 18:00. You can check session times for each day on our website prior to booking. hope this helps and we see you for an adventure soon!

how much would this cost? for 15 and 16 year olds?
GoApeTribe
Suffolk41 مساهمة
Thanks for getting in touch and for thinking of us. The cost for adults [aged 16+] is £33 per person and children aged 10-15 years is £25 per person. Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult 18+. An adult can supervise two under 16s. Our original Tree Top Adventure normally takes 2-3 hours to complete. Hope this helps and we see you for an adventure soon!

Thanks for getting in touch and for thinking of us. We're currently open at weekends and our last weekend of adventure will be 3 and 4 December 2016. After that we go into hibernation for the Winter. Hopefully see you in the trees soon!

Is there a certain footwear needed for go ape

I would recommend trainers. If it's raining or raining before you go it might be a bit slutchy so make sure you where something you don't mind getting dirty.

Thanks for getting in touch and for thinking of us Amandeep. Unfortunately our original Tree Top Adventure is for those aged 10+ and over 1.4m tall. We do have a number of Tree Top Junior Adventures dotted around the UK which would be applicable. The nearest to Go Ape Rivington is at Delamere Forest [Cheshire] and Grizedale Forest [Cumbria]. More info can be found on our website. Hope this helps and we see you all for an adventure soon!
