I often walk in the reserve with my partner and we go and see Naomi*s garden which is lovely. The lake is also nice to go and see because there are a lot of birds around there.

We went on a very nice dog walk around the reserve and you can really tell how much work has been put in to make it look so beautiful. The ponds are beautiful and everything is clean.

Gorgeous little nature reserve in the heart of maidstone. I Walk and run around the reserve regularly and it always well kept and a safe environment.

Nice place to visit for a walk. However there are too many signs telling people what they can’t do. In the short walk we did, 25 mins I counted 21 laminated signs. (I didn’t count the wooden named signs).
Not one of my favourite places for a walk because of all the signs. Thought we would give it a go today as I was hoping some of the signs would be missing. Not very welcoming

We love walking our dog around the lake here. It's peaceful, has a great selection of trees, birds and wildlife and a beautiful lake.

I had forgotten all about this spot so close to town, next door to my old school of Vinters Boys, now known as Valley Park. There are various entrances all around the park, if driving, a good place to park is in Lodge Road, just off the New Cut Road. Other entrances are via Vinters Park Estate, along by the school and New Cut Road itself.
The park stretches up to The Bearsted Road, around the border with the crematorium, down to The School and up most of New Cut Road.
It is a great place to go for a walk, dogs are also welcome, and there is a lovely lake in the centre, with a few benches scattered around.

This is a lovely nature reserve nestled between housing estates and the busy ashford road/school area.
There is plenty to see here ranging from old buildings from when a large house stood in the grounds to a diverse wildlife landscape.
It is well used by the the locals but is never busy and is a nice quiet and scenic area just outside Maidstone.

It was originally owned by the de Vinter family and latterly by the Whatman family. The land, which spanned from weavering in east, to the sittingbourne road side of the vinters park housing estate, consisted of park and woodland, with a stately Manor House. The land was sold for development in the middle of the last century, the Manor House mysteriously burned down, and the vinters park estate was built in the 1970s. The grove green estate was built in the 1980s. In the middle lies the nature reserve, which was initially purchased by the county council and then ownership transferred to a trust, following its recognition as a site of significance for local nature by two local people, who essentially saved this land from further development.
