I regularly walk my dog here as I am local it’s a nice clean park and well looked after

It is a well kept good sized park with a mix of facilities. The largest area is kept as a cricket pitch for Dartford Cricket Club, there is an area given over to bowls and it’s clubhouse with a very nice well kept green (It has an electric fence to keep animals [?] off). There are Tennis Courts, a Children’s play area with swings etc, a large Sundial dating back to 1794, a small wooded/scub area which is worth a stroll around, this area is also used by dog walkers, some do not clear up after their animals, watch where you put your feet. There is also a Clubhouse/Pavilion/building adjacent to the Cricket pitch which can be hired for social events. There is limited parking but there is free parking in some of the local streets. There are toilets behind the Cricket Scoreboard. There is a Memorial Stone (engraved) for a Sgt Trevor Oldfield who was shot down, crashed and died at the edge of the park on the 27th September 1940 during the Battle of Britain.

Great little playground with different apparatus for variety of ages. A fun children's bike/board/scooter track. There are also tennis courts and a basketball court. Popular with dog walkers this a good park for a short walk and great for children to play in (dogs not allowed in the play area). I don't understand why some of the entrance gates are always locked when I go there though; there are several gates so keep walking round to find an unlocked one.

I live near the park so often walk there or watch the bowlers or cricketers. Lots of lovely flowers.

Sited within walking distance of my home which has a small back garden so ideal for exercising my dogs. Plenty of bins for dog waste make it ideal for dogs and their owners.
Large, recently built clubhouse. Often lots of cricket activity on the playing field and nets for people to participate in the sport during the summer. Car parking is ample.
Benches around the edge of the playing field, some of them donated in memory of local residents, are a nice touch.
Well equipped play area for children. Winding pathways for leisurely stroll through the park. Floerbeds and planting always lovely. Tennis courts and lawn bowls also on site. Quiet seating area beautifully landscaped and well maintained.
Lots of entry gates dotted around the park. Opens early but winter closing time is 5pm up to February. Slowly extends as daylight lengthens.
We come here often to exercise the dogs.

Severad sports are cateres for - no longer hosts county cricket but has local teams. Childrens play area is excellent and there is a small boarding route. Plenty of seats and a pleasant shrubbery area. Parking is limited but also permitted along fringe road.

Hesketh Park is home to Dartford Cricket Club, one of the oldest cricket clubs in the World. It is also home to a Bowls club, with their well kept green, and a delightful formal garden next to it, which must be seen and especially smelt in the midsts of Summer bloom. Although there is little else to see here, it is worth popping in, when in the area, especially if there is a match on. What could be more quintessentially English than everyone watching everyone in their whites, playing cricket, bowls, and even tennis, whilst the scent of roses files the air, and children enjoy themselves on the freshly painted equipment, there is even a basketball court for them, an playground for very small children. You'll also find a very important memorial making the crash site, where Sgt Trevor Guest Oldfield gave his life, by staying with his aircraft and directing it into an empty field, which went on to become Hesketh Park. Now the bad points, parking is extremely limited here, whilst Cricketer club members can park in the 'members only' car park, there is very limited parking for the majority of visitors, who typically choose to either park on Park Road, on the side of the road without a path, risking fast moving traffic, or in the quieter residential roads off Pilgrim's Way, found on the opposite side of the park. There is also little shelter here and no wet play facilities. That said, with restricted access, and being half the size of Dartford's Central Park, Hesketh park is often overlooked and as a result can provide a delightful escape from the maddening crowds nearer the town centre. Certainly worth a visit, but don't expect too much.

My grandson loves it here... It has an enclosed play area for the children and a small skate/ bike area which is great for the younger ones. There is a bowls club, tennis courts, gardens and the cricket ground. Lovely for a days picnic or evening stroll.

This a lovely park all fenced in so great for dogs, a nice playground, where dogs are not allowed , to tennis courts, one grass one hard, and no charge , toilets, a lovely rose garden to sit and have a quiet read , lots of little nooks and craneys to explore , cricket and bowels on most weekends to watch , all in all a nice park to either relax on the many benches or fun with the children ,take a picknick and have a nice free day out with the family 😌👍👍
