Since being under new management, the bowling alley is a great place to go. Good value games, friendly and helpful staff, with a range of snacks and drinks available.
Due to the pandemic, restrictions are in place to keep everyone safe and these are well managed and maintained.

We went here in the October half term with our grandson and had a fantastic time. We had heard from friends about how much the place had changed so thought we would give it a try we were not disappointed. We had a couple of games of bowling and felt very safe with every other Lane being closed for social distancing, the lanes all seemed to be in good order. We had food after bowling and it was really good and all cooked to order, my grandson loved the pizza. The arcade games were my favourite and to my grandsons delight they had loads of 2p machines to keep him occupied. They have a fully stocked bar and all at reasonable prices. One last thing there are no cameras or parking ticket machines it was free and easy to park. All in all a great place well done Red Rose Bowl we will be back 👍🏻

Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, went bowling in September at night. I had never been to the premises before paid for a bowling session, did not validate my parking as the car park was not lit well enough and the signs were not readable. I was then sent a parking charge notice for the amount of £160.00. Never go to this place the toilets do not even have locks. Cannot believe how much stress I have been through because of this place.

Had a couple of games at the weekend. It was busy! A great time seemed to be had by everyone, ourselves included. Been coming here for years and the improvements are doing the trick.

Visited to check this place out after some buzz around the area that it has been taken over. Shame it was aloud to get to the state that everyone seems to dwell on....but a huge amount of positivity around the place for the new management coming in! Seems those reviewing below are those negative breeds!
Cheap and fun for all, lots of laughter and cheers from a few families playing on the lanes which was nice to see. Try the pac man game in the arcade soooo addictive!!!!!

We have been afew times and everytime we have been something wasn't working. We thought we would give it another go and with it being under new management we thought things would improve...how wrong were we. Not my best has been spent, it's run down and broken, the staff weren't interested and when we complained they weren't happy but they did eventually help us. Bowling was a joke, barriers were broken my daughter's ball actually went onto the next lane, the pins kept getting stuck and balls were collecting at the bottom and not coming back up. They put us on another lane, still had problems but we managed to play. But what really has annoyed me is when we booked in we asked about the parking as we saw the signs but no meters and we got told ...oh it doesn't matter. Well yes it does because I received a parking ticket through the post this morning and I am fuming !!! Email hads been sent waiting on reply oh and another thing which is a joke is that the contact numbers they have both mobile and landline are not available and so you can only contact them through email.

Well what can I say about bowling here.... Awful? Pathetic? Diabolical?
Yes yes and yes!
We have been coming here for years for family birthdays and family time together. Generally every time we come we have a problem with a lane, either jamming, breaking or the balls get stuck at the bottom. Pins fall over without balls hitting them.
We understand that the place is old and the excuses we have heard over the years are... The lanes are old, it's been taken over, it's under new management and due for refurbishment. We have been asked to bear with you which we have done REPEATEDLY
Today we thought we would give you another try only to find nothing has changed apart from the Staffs attitudes... Plain rude!
We were told there is signs up so we have to expect lane breaks because you say so and it's not your fault.
No it isn't your fault as members of staff but it is the management or owners responsibility to make it safe.. There were wires loose hanging out. Mechanical parts open for any child to hurt themselves on. We were moved lanes twice in 25 minutes because of breakages and problems. We were not the only ones complaining and when we asked for a refund we were told you don't do refunds! When we expressed that we would still like a refund the female who dealt with us walked away got money from the till slapped it down on the counter in front of us and walked away! Safe to say we won't be returning!

Helpful Staff, Cheap Prices, drinks, hot drinks and food available too. Highly recommend to couples / families / parties etc!

Parking fines galore when staff don't verify your "free parking" then don't even bother to reply to messages. Last time I'll ever visit

We have visited today as a birthday treat; a family of six with ages ranging from 13 to 76. We paid £20 for one lane for an hour managing to squeeze in one and a bit games ! So very happy with value for money.
I was extremely concerned about what to expect as I only read the TA reviews after organising it, but after calculating the cost of going to either Level or the Flower Bowl instead I decided to stick with the plan and give Preston Rock and Bowl a chance.
So glad we did, we all had a great time.
It wasn’t perfect, a couple of negatives:
It was really really cold inside. We all kept our coats on but got a bit warmer when bowling, plus as well as soft drinks and alcoholic drinks they also do hot drinks such as tea, chocolate and latte. A cup of tea warmed me up fine.
We only experienced technical faults once. After bowling 2 pins hadn’t been knocked down and they were dropped by the machinery and not placed backed down. It really wasn’t a big deal and we didn’t even mention it to the staff. The player rolled a ball anyway in order for the game to carry on.
3 young members of staff managing the place, all doing a great job, friendly, helpful and working hard.
We would all definitely return.
