‪Colourful statue of a colourful talented footballer, who was tragically killed in the Munich Air disaster along with far too many of his Manchester United colleagues. Viewed best from the road/ pavement below, as the statue is positioned just away from a traditional market. The all action pose just highlights how athletic / muscular this footballer was. Shown in the England kit he was proud to wear.‬

‪Dudley makes a great show of being the birth place of famous footballer Duncan Edwards, killed in the Munich air crash in the 50s. It's just a statue, although some fans make pilgrimages. Stands in a now sparse old market place within a rundown town centre‬

‪I visited this memorable tribute to a great footballer who tragically died at Munich in 1958.
Not everybody knew about him although the local library has made a real effort.The location is not all that attractive but the statue is in good condition. How United could do with aplayer like him now!!‬

‪This statue is a cut above the standard football monument. Its action pose and use of colour is really effective. I did not know that Duncan was from Dudley and this tribute rightfully takes pride of place in the town centre.‬

‪like the idea the idea they have added colour to duncan's statue‬

‪right in the middle of the high street you will see the statue of Duncan Edwards and there are steps around it to sit down on and rest your feet after looking around the shops, I like how they have added colour to the statue its different to other statues you see‬

‪The statue is a prominent feature of Dudley's main shopping area, and it is nice to see one of Dudley's most famous residents commemorated. Dudley seems to be rather fond of statuary, I recommend glancing at the local roundabouts when you pass, they are quite decorative, and there is a statue place next to the ramp to the walkway outside Cousins' furniture store. You wouldn't want to travel to Dudley just to view the statues, but they do lift the heart somewhat.‬
