The park itself is a beautiful and peaceful place to stroll around to escape the bustling city, but it wasn't just the park we enjoyed, but the whole walk from our room in Petite France to the park and back. There are so many grand historic buildings in Strasbourg, many with magnificent parks and gardens, plus you have the numerous canals and churches, besides the cathedral. It really is a magnificent city.

The main and noble park of the city is worth crossing. With palaces, statues, fountains, temples and lakes and of course a colony of storks.

We rented bicycles and enjoyed a close-up view with the storks, which mostly make a habitat in this historic garden. Unlike the Parisian L’Orangerie, this one is more unmanicured/wild “English” style with a German timber Alsatian style house and meeting place. The Conduit is a children’s bumpercar type racecourse, which is fun for tykes on a sunny day. The park is vast and not too far from the Winston Churchill Council and Agora Court of the European Union. Take Simone Veil from the direction of Neustadt to the round iconic European Parliament towers (Louise Weiss). There are ‘E’ trams to Wacken or several buses at stops, where you’ll pay outside before boarding for the ride. Whether on two wheels or more, enjoy the lovely sights and fauna. Strasbourg is more than just the island of the River L’ill and ramparts. Just past the international Congress is the Rhine and 8 European countries—located within 500 kilometres. Then, return to the centre or Cathedral of Strasbourg, where a stork graces the gothic stone facade!

Unthinkable that in a park as big as the center of Milan there is no fountain. Among other things, they write that the city of Strasbourg encourages the use of public drinking water. Madness! Embarrassing

Lovely park with big trees and gardens. Nice lake with boats. Good for picnic or walk. Play area for kids. Very peaceful.

We took the Tram to see the famous storks. It’s a very scenic place and makes a nice walk in good weather. The storks are worth seeing! They are in the middle of the park near the Josephine pavilion. There’s a nice pond on the eastern side of the park. The ice cream stand over them is tasty and well placed!

Beautiful, well-kept park with fountains, a lake with a waterfall, beautiful flowers, ice cream stands, great playgrounds and lots of storks raising their young here. You can watch them forever, which is wonderfully relaxing.

It was a beautiful day. The park is a green space with ponds, playgrounds and wide paths. Very few flowers. No signage, no food or beverages available, no bathrooms.
