‪Highlight of our trip!‬

‪This was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide Jrme (Jay) was very fun and knowledgeable about the Montmartre district . We saw all of the places that were on my list of must see plus tried delicious local treats. Hughly recommend, especially on your first day but any day would be great!‬

‪Louvre with an Expert‬

‪My family of five, which included three young adults, visited the Louvre right before the Olympics. Unfortunately, they only had one entrance opened for security reasons. Livia met us outside and guided us through the long line to get in. We were scheduled for a two hour tour, but the time to get in took up a chunk of that time. Livia did not even hesitate when I asked her about that. She gave us the full 2 hours and even a bit more of her time.
The Louvre is huge and getting around, even for a seasoned traveler is challenging. Of course we wanted to see the Mona Lisa, but with Livia, we were able to see so much more. She really helped us understand the history of the Louvre, as well as understand the big show items. She had a great pace with fun facts and found places where we could sit for a quick minute.
I thought the fee was extremely fair for the tour. Livia, as well as the other guides, have to go through a rigorous training in order to become a guide. It was a 10 out of 10.
When we were done, she showed us where to get a bite to eat. (There was a lovely café with an outdoor terrace overlooking the pyramid. Prices were typical of museum cafés. Well worth it considering the view!)
After our lunch we wanted to explore another part of the museum. I am not exaggerating when I say it took us 25 minutes just to find the exhibit and that was following the map as well as asking for directions!
Do not hesitate to get a guide, you will not be sorry!‬

‪Wonderful Experience with a Charm and Knowledgeable Guide‬

‪On August 15, 2024, my wife and I had the precious opportunity to enjoy an enriching experience at the Louvre thanks to Bibiana's charm and vast knowledge of the valuable art and history that this unique museum contains and houses. From beginning to end, Bibiana delighted us with cultured explanations of each work of art that we appreciated. She is an extraordinary professional who knows the Louvre perfectly. Her company and willingness to share her knowledge made our experience very pleasant. We fully recommend her as a guide for a tour that requires the ability to convey the details of art history in different manifestations.

Bibiana is simply a fantastic guide and beautiful person!‬

‪Perfect Parisienne Pastry Tour‬

‪We had the most enjoyable day on our perfect pastry tour with our incredible hostess Rachelle. Rachelle was so friendly and knowledgeable about the art of pastry, the history and background of various specialties as well as the history of her beautiful city Paris. We enjoyed several delicious pastries as strolled through the avant-garde neighborhood of Le Marais. Booking the tour was very user friendly. Rachelle was very flexible and accommodated us very last minute. We really appreciated her easy going demeanor and truly feel we made a new friend.‬

‪Great Walking Tour‬

‪Welly was very (very) accommodating as we had to change our date and time (and our meeting location). He was responsive to the Chat and able to modify the tour to suit our requests of places to skip since we did some of the touristy spots before this tour. Welly had a lot of knowledge about the main sights as well as inside information about places off the beaten track. There is obviously a lot of history in Paris, and I feel like we covered a lot of it during our time with Welly. I highly recommend spending some time with him while you’re in Paris. Do it on one of your first days so he can give you insight as to places to visit while you’re there. Also, so you can go back to any place you want to spend more time.

He walked at a good pace all day, not too fast or too slowly. This was by far our best value tour (by a large margin). No better way to see this beautiful city.‬

‪A fun and educational “work out”!‬

‪Welly was such a fun tour guide! We knew that the tour was going to be 150 minutes and came in prepared with walking shoes and jackets. Welly led us through Paris, letting us know we could tweak the path as needed, but as it was our first and only night in Paris, we just wanted to hit the top spots. Welly was so informative and truly had a passion for French history, which was apparent in his explanations of the various spots - it seems like he knew something about every location! He also stopped and made sure we took pictures at every amazing photo spot and we’ll cherish these pictures for a long time. Book with Welly and you’ll have a fun and educational “work out” aka a 150 minute walk.‬

‪We loved Rachelle with Withlocals! She was friendly, fun, knowledgeable, gracious, and superengaged with my 12-year-old daughter. She taught us so much about Parisian food and culture, brought us to the coolest places for pastries, and showed us hidden gardens for us to sit and enjoy them, all at a perfect pace. We have already recommended her to friends who are planning to travel to Paris, and will book her again when we go back!‬
