The cathedral in the delightful town of Uzes is a rather lovely place. Although I’m not particularly religious I enjoy looking around old churches and I really enjoyed my visit here.
The main body of the church has three distinct levels and as well as the beautiful arched frontages, the first things that caught my eye were the very attractive pieces of wrought iron work on the gates and along the walkways, and when you wander down the north and south aisles, do look out for the intricately painted blue artwork on the vaulted ceilings and walls.
Of course the main view has to be straight down the central aisle to the relatively simple design of the chancel, with a central painting with golden pillars on each side and ornamental top piece.
And this simplicity of design is pulled together perfectly by the vaulted ceiling with dramatic rib effect, and the overall view is stunning. I could of course witter on, but will happily cede to my wife Karen’s words when she simply said, “This is probably the loveliest church I’ve ever been in.”
And I wouldn’t disagree.

Une très belle cathédrale, monument impressionnant de l’extérieur.
L’intérieur est a faire avec de très beaux vitraux.

Beau monument. Très bel orgue. L’intérieur se visite assez rapidement. De l’extérieur le tour est originale. La façade a été plaquée sur l’Eglise ancienne. Parking (payant) devant l’église

Architecture magnifique aussi bien de l'extérieur que de l'intérieur.
La cathédrale est très bien entretenue, manque un peu de renovation à l'intérieur mais elle vaut le détour.
De jolis vitraux.

und sehr beeindruckend. Nicht nur der Campanile ist einzigartig, sondern auch das Innere der Kirche mit seinen Umgängen und darüber den Balkonen. Alles sehr ungewohnt und eigentlich etwas, das man mit sehr viel Ruhe anschauen sollte und mindestens zweimal besuchen.

Très belle cathédrale, dommage que les modernistes s'en sont emparés afin de l'enlaidir de l'intérieur, notamment par des représentations du Christ (via un "artiste" local) d'une laideur incomparable !!

Magnifique cathédrale qui sort de l’ordinaire. La grande particularité est son clocher qui ressemble grandement à une tour.

Sa tour-clocher ronde se voit de loin, et même de très loin, ceci n'est reste pas moins une très belle cathédrale richement décorée et entretenue de manière à sauvegarder plusieurs ensembles polychromiques intéressants, très belles fresques donc et vue externe vraiment sympa ... attention, y aller par bon temps pour une découpe lumineuse plus colorée sinon un peu sombre
