‪Oh my goodness! I just looked at my bookings on my current trip and saw I failed to leave a review for this tour. We were very impressed with the historical knowledge that was given to us as we traveled throughout the area. Our guide was very thoughtful and made every effort to take us to the sites that mattered most to us. In addition, we were taken to a lovely restaurant for a much needed break and sustenance! Following our last stop and before being taken to the train station, he was kind enough to take us to a grocery store so we could buy provisions for our long train ride back to Paris. Best picnic in a long time!‬

‪Our tour guide, Eric, made this one of the most unforgettable tours we’ve ever been on. He brought the events of D-Day to life for us and kept us enthralled for the entire day. It’s hard to find the words to describe just how special it was. Eric has met many of the United States World War II veterans in person, and shares anecdotes from their experience on D-Day throughout the tour, at appropriate moments, which made the whole experience truly unique. We can’t recommend this tour enough!‬

‪The tour was incredible! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about DDay. I think it would be impossible to do this tour on one’s own. Simply Excellent!‬

‪Had a great experience with Gold Beach company. We selected their US D-Day tour. They were very responsive over their customer service portal and maintained great communication with us. We were the last tour of the Fall 2023 season and our tour guide was Eliza. She was great! She had a lot of knowledge to share with us. I appreciated all her stories, and her binder with photos pertinent to the tour. She changed the schedule around to get us a better experience. For example, she prioritized us getting to the American Cemetery in order to see the flag ceremony in time. She also called the American Cemetery early in the day to get a special visit arranged for us since my husband had a family member buried there. We didn’t know this was possible and really appreciated her going above and beyond to arrange this experience for us. The staff took us to the plot by golf cart and we noticed that this section was closed to the public. If it wasn’t for Eliza, we wouldn’t have gotten to see the tombstone. She did a great job of keeping us on schedule and delivering on everything the tour promised. Highly recommend booking a tour with Eliza if possible! ‬

‪This was without a doubt one of the best tours I have ever taken. My family and I had always wanted to visit Normandy and our tour guide Kate was fantastic. She told us information about the D-Day sites as well as the surrounding areas with such amazing detail. It was absolutely fascinating. I cannot recommend this tour or Kate enough. Thank you for making our tour such a wonderful experience that we won't forget. ‬

‪Truly wonderful experience, start to finish. We were picked up on time and in a nice sprinter van. The tour lasted all day and honestly we did NOT want it to end. Our tour guide, Julie, was one of the best guides we have ever had. Her passion for the D-Day invasion and WWII history was evident at every step. She discussed history and local WWII stories all throughout the trip, including on the drive—Julie even covered recent/current events that were relevant and interesting to learn. One thing to be aware of is that the tour goes to the Utah Beach Museum, which is fantastic in every way, but you might also want another day in the area to visit the Airborne Museum or Overlord Museum on your own. We wished we had added an extra day to cover even more WWII history. All things considered, I can highly recommend this tour (and especially Julie as your guide).‬

‪Totally recommend this tour!‬

‪I initially booked this tour for my history buff son, and it wound up being one of my favorite activities from our trip! We took the train from Paris and Sophie met us at the Bayeux station. She was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide for our group. The entire day was like reliving history (I was worried that it would be sad but I found it was mostly fascinating). Our lunch stop was yummy and there was plenty of time to explore on our own. I would recommend seeing both the German and US cemeteries, they are in stark contrast. Next time, we will book a few days so that we can experience even more! Thank you!‬

‪Personalised and memorable‬

‪Though the weather was dreary, our guide was anything but dreary! Oliver was so knowledgeable and very clear to understand with his lovely French accented English. This tour is usually only a small van but we were lucky to be the only two booked, so had Oliver and his Renault all to ourselves. It was a very memorable excursion - made so because of the solemnity of the historic topic but also the friendliness and expertise of the guide. He even gave us a little tour of the Bayuex Cathedral and tips on the best places to sample the local produce. Highly recommend this tour and hopefully you’ll be lucky to snag Oliver as your guide.‬

‪We went on a tour of the Normandy D-Day beaches with Olivier Coulon of Normandy44 Tours (normandy44-tours.com) in September, 2023. Olivier an outstanding guide for our trip. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. There were only 2 of us, so Olivier made the tour very personal and memorable. We also engaged Oliver for a trip from Bayeux to Mont Saint Michel. As we drove through the beautiful Normandy countryside, Olivier shared the history of the region. He also prepared us for the tour of Mont Saint Michel with the history of the Abbey, etc. Very helpful. We highly recommend Olivier and Normandy44 Tours.‬
