When we were there, around 5 pm on a Tuesday afternoon the street was as good as dead. Only one bar was open, no restaurants, no atmosphere. But the street looked nice in itself. Don't know when to visit to get what the reviews write about.

Avignon - city of the popes - contains so many impressive buildings created to make you fear and worship almighty God…
… but to me this humble, charming street represents the ancient people of Avignon. Hard working men and women who paid for all the pomp and circumstances with their blood, sweat and tears.

E' bello passeggiare in questa via, una volta sede dei laboratori dei tintori.
Eè costeggiata dal canale dove ci sono ancora antichi mulini ad acqua.
Adesso ci sono negozietti, bar e ristoranti.

We hailed a free Baladine (milk float/Popemobile like bus for 6) which took us here as it was the other side of town from the main tourist attractions as we had already walked miles. This ancient street winds with huge plane trees breaking up the ancient stone walk, along a river with waterwheels or skeletons of them, right along where they used to tan leather. There are charming wonky houses all along and little bridges across to various chapels and a synagogue. When we were there, we were charmed by the church-like silence, the welcome shade and the interesting carved stones and benches along the way. It's not long but it's an oasis of peace in a tourist mecca. Don't tell anyone.

très visité et occupé pendant le festival , on y trouve de nombreux restos, et la fraicheur de l'eau. Les nombreuses roues ne tournent plus depuis longtemps.

La calle de los Tintoreros merece, al menos, recorrerla una vez. La singularidad reside en los viejos molinos de agua que aún giran al paso del pequeño torrente que discurre a lo largo de la calle. También tiene unos cuantos bares y restaurantes

We loved Rue de Teinturiers! Reminder of Medical times. Unfortunately we visited on a Sunday so there were not many shops or cafes open. The canal with the functioning water wheels were interesting. Definitely worth a look.

C'est mimi, mais le jours ou nous y somme allez, tout était fermé. Probablement plus sympa quand c'est animer.

Nous nous attendions à mieux au vus des commentaires.
Probablement pas le bon moment pour en juger car milieu de journée en janvier.
Si ce n'est pas pour assister à un spectacle ou manger dans un resto de cette rue, je ne voit pas l’intérêt d'y passer.
