Bucket list day trip! Could not have been better!!
A prompt easy pick up in marseille and we were off to Provence. Beautiful weather, and our guide spoke fluent English and French. Our guide Pepe was extremely knowledgeable about the area, history, and bounced easily back and forth in both languages to help all of the group understand 1000s of years of regional history to set the stage for our day. He deeply loves the Provence region and that came through in all he shared. He is steeped in impressionist and post impressionist Art history time period, and this enhanced the trip so much. We were able to see in one day SO much more than we expected—and to walk in the steps of Van High’s most prolific art years at the St Remy Asylum is something I’ll never forget. As my husband said “I always thought his art was pure madness but there is much more realism of the landscape and what he was seeing day to day that is captured in VanGogh’s work”.
We also luckily got to see a street and food market with stunning produce, loved the unexpected time at Les Beaux which we had never heard of prior to this trip, and to wander the medieval streets of Arles was just magical. But the linchpin of the day was our guide Pepe—an old soul in his 20s who made the region come to life through his words and perspective. We will always remember him and this amazing tour!

What a fantastic way to see the highlights of Marseille and then go to see the beauty of Cassis. Pelayo , our guide was one of the best guides we have ever been with. Informative, witty and helpful in every way. The extra time in Cassis was needed to see this seaport and shop its streets. So different from Marseille. Highly recommended !!!

A fantastic tour with the wonderful Pelayo (excuse my spelling!). Was slightly worried about joining a group as a solo traveller but shouldn’t have been - the group was great and I think we all had a fabulous time. A long day but we packed a lot in! Highly recommended.

This was a good small group tour. Driver was timely, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The winery was fun and we learned some new things. We had plenty of free time to explore the castle and have lunch. I would recommend

We did not take any set tour, but went on our own by Metro to the Old Port area where there are plenty of restaurants, shopping and beautiful views of the marina. On our second day we took a bus from the St. Charles Train/bus station to Aix en Provence, a short 30 minutes and 7 Euros away!!! Lovely, shopping and restaurants. Better than a tour because we had experience on public transportation and could do what we wanted.

Lovely and enjoyable - a small group taking us to a few key sites and through the gardens. Definitely a good tour if you’re there and want to get some history of the city

Excellent tour. Guides were great. The sites were amazing. Going to Smaller cities allows you to see more historical views.

Lucie and Nicolas are so knowledgeable about the region and are fantastic tour guides. The itinerary is great—you have enough time to enjoy every place without getting bored. My only recommendation is that in Avignon you opt for a quick food option—sit-down service will take quite a bit of time. This tour was the highlight of my trip to Marseille, no doubt.

My sister and I were delighted by Lucy's narrative. Very interesting and insightful. Our time to browse in Aix and Cassis was fun. We ended up taking the train back to Cassis for a long calanque cruise.

Tour bien organizado, de todo el día. Inicialmente llegamos a Saint Remy y era miércoles día de mercado en el centro. Muy pintoresco, variado y surtido. Hermosas callecitas para perderse por ahi.
Muy cerca de allí, fuimos también a St. Paul de Mausole, a visitar la habitación en el hospicio donde Van Gogh pintó la Noche Estrellada y otras. Emocionante.
Luego visítamos Baux de Provence montaña rocosa con impactantes vistas de valle tipo Toscana italiana debajo.
Terminamos en Arles con la visita a las Arenas, tipo Coliseo Romano muy bien conservado, al teatro antiguo y al café que pintó Van Gogh en Place Forum. Conductor puntual, cuidadoso y amable en buen vehículo.
