Part of the charm of Freiburg is simply wandering around and enjoying the charming buildings of the old town. This is one of those iconic buildings - its in a pleasant square.
The Town Hall is home to the registry office for weddings so during the week there are a steady stream of groups of happy brides and grooms leaving from having registered their marriage.

Ci siamo passati sia di sera, quando la Piazza è molto tranquilla, che durante il giorno, quando invece è piena di gente e di rumore.
L'edificio in sè non è di particolare valore artistico, ma si fa notare perchè è qui che si svolgono le celebrazioni dei matrimoni civili.

Precioso edificio que junto al antiguo ayuntamiento (aunque el nuevo sea anterior) forman un par de edificio preciosos en esta plaza. Delante de este nuevo ayuntamiento se puede ver en el enlosado el escudo de Granada con quién está hermanada esta ciudad. También un buen sitio para tomarse algo en las terrazas que tiene la plaza

schönes Rathaus, wunderschönes Gebäude. Passt wunderschön in die schöne Altstadt. Man kommt hier vorbei und es ist sehenswert

Une très jolie bâtisse. Nous n'avons pas pu visiter l'intérieur. L'extérieur est typique de la région et extrêmement joli. A voir lorsque vous visitez la ville.

Visitamos únicamente por fuera, pero las fachadas y la plaza son preciosas, sobretodo la fachada del nuevo ayuntamiento. Imprescindibles en tu paseo por la ciudad

Dating back to the 1500s, the “New Town Hall” is actually older than the Old Town Hall, but was not used as a town hall until 1891 (thus “new”). The building has had many modifications over the years, but has lots of unique features, including stylish clock tower in the center. Reportedly, a favorite spot for locals to get married.

Despite the name, it is an old building, but very nicely restored and with a wonderful architecture. Nearby you will find a Tourist Information point. In the front square, Rathausplatz, Freiburg's main Christmas market takes place.

It’s a beautiful build with ornate features and a trio of towers, the middle one a clock tower.
Notwithstanding its title, it predates the Old Town Hall by a couple of decades. Completed in the mid-1500s it was in use by the University till 1891.
Down the centuries many changes and much revamping took place on it. Particularly up until 1891 when it had a new role as additional Town Hall space.
