We finished a guided tour and went out on our own to see other parts of the city. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and we got an insight into some of the student life. Lots of interesting store items in the shops we visited. Many handmade crafts and ornaments.

Große, beeindruckende Altstadt mit unzähligen Restaurants, Cafes und Läden. Ideal zum Bummeln und Einkehren. An den Flüssen viel Grün. Viele junge Leute und Leben auf den Straßen.

Second time here. Easy to navigate. Upon the end of your visit, just follow any street with a incline “down”, this way you go to the river and find your way back. Lots of small shops and restaurants.

wunderschöne Altstadt :) immer wieder einen Besuch wert, egal ob im Winter oder im Sommer. Wir sind gerne in Regensburg.

A historically rich and very charming city that is easily navigated on foot. Lovely place to wonder around with few other tourists.

Very pretty riverfront city with all sorts of shops, some with unique merchandise (hard to find these days). Nice people. Beautiful at Christmas.

This is a beautiful town with a lot of history. The old stone bridge was built over 800 years ago and was probably a model for Charles bridge in Prague. The historic sausage kitchen restaurant has continuously been in operation since 1146 AD. The Cathedral of St. Peter's was built about the same time as the bridge. And Regensburg was an important Roman fortress city, as the Danube River was the border between the empire and the Germanic tribes.
We visited the town in the summer of 2014 and again this past December (for the Christmas Market).

Eine der wenigen Alt- Innenstädte zum Wohlfühlen. Verwinkelt, historisch, beeindruckend. Mit einer kulinarischen und geschäftlichen Vielfalt die fast einzigartig ist in Deutschland.

We were on a tour with Viking as we walked through this town. Lots of interesting history including the bit that this town was once a Roman Fortress. Very picturesque and photo worthy.

For the city center, we parked at Dachauplatz Parking House, very easy to find, because you just get off the main highway (15) to your right, to the south and drive in the old town Eiserne Brücke. Use your navigation system. There are though other options like underground parking at the theatre at Bismarckplatz.

Hi, most famos is the 'Wurstkuchl'. It is nearly by the 'Steinernen Brücke'. You can eat Bratwurst and drink something. Wish you a very pleasant stay

My suggestion would be the Bishofshof om Dom biergarten - it is the former home of the bishopric - not so crowded with tourists.
