Ciekawe wykorzystanie przestrzeni na pomnik. Znajduje się on bowiem po obu stronach ulicy. Wieczorem jest dyskretnie podświetlony. Jeden z ciekawszych tego typu obiektów.

The holocaust monument is thought provoking. When the Nazis came to power in Germany, there were 2,700 Jews living in Wiesbaden. By June 1942 nearly all of them had been deported to the Nazi death camps in Nazi-occupied Poland.
The names on the wall of remembrance only become apparent on up close examination the bricks. The memorial is split by a road. The wall is one side and an audio-visual presentation is the other side.

Sehr gut konzipiertes Denkmal an der Stelle der ehemaligen Synagoge. Lobenswert auch, das es offenbar gelingt, es von Graffiti frei zu halten. Besser als ein Denkmal wäre der Wiederaufbau der Synagoge.

This is a fitting memorial to the Jewish residents of Wiesbaden that suffered under the Nazis.
The memorial is understated, and it is only as you approach it that the engraved names become discernable. It's bleak and moving.
The memorial is split across the road, so don't miss the multi media section.

An emotional place to visit. It is a reminder of the scale of deportation of Jews from their homes to the concentration camps in Poland.

An amazing, intense, surreal, emotional visit awaits you. If you know the history, or if you don't know its history - you will. And you will be moved. This was almost a five hour drive from where I was staying, but I had to make the trek for this experience. Totally worth it. Allow yourself at least four hours. I didn't believe that at first, but it's true. Lastly, it's a free exhibition.

This very sombre grey wall is a reminder of the enormity of the transports which took the Jews of Wiesbaden to their fate in the Polish concentration camps. Every citizen’s name shows the date and place of their murder. It is a chilling document of the dark days of 1942 when ALL the Jews of Wiesbaden were removed from their town, never to return.
