Eine Imposante Villa umgeben von einer prächtigen Parkanlage. Wir haben die Besichtigung der beeindruckenden Räumlichkeiten sehr genossen. Man erfährt zudem sehr viel über die Familiengeschichte. Es war ein sehr schöner Ausflug.

Ein wahrhaft geschichtsträchtiger Ort! Es ist das größte Einfamilienhaus der Welt und die Familie Krupp (von Bohlen und Halbach) hat wirklich da gewohnt.
Das beeindruckenste von Allem ist das sogenannte Kaiserzimmer. Eigentlich eher eine Suite, deren Zugang von außen mit einem normalen Messingtürdrücker zu öffnen ist, aber von innen einen vergoldeten Drücker hat. Der Kaiser Wilhelm II war dort lieber als in Berlin. Wahrscheinlich weil ihm in Berlin zuviele Minister gute Ratschläge gaben.
Auch die anderen Räume sind sehenswert mit ihren Gemälden, Gobelins und Möbeln.

Imposantes Gebäude, unglaublich schöner Garten. Leider war das Personal schrecklich unfreundlich (mit Ausnahme der freundlichen Dame am Torhaus).

Heute sind wir der Hitze entflohen und haben uns hier dieses schmucke Einfamilienhaus angesehen. Im Sommer finden immer wieder mal, wenn das Wetter mitspielt, Konzerte statt, ist seh hübsch anzuschauen.

Villa Hügel to XIX-wieczna rezydencja położona w Bredeney - południowej dzielnicy miasta Essen nad jeziorem Baldeneysee. Została zbudowana przez przemysłowca Alfreda Kruppa w latach 1870-1873 jako jego główna rezydencja i była domem rodziny Kruppów aż do II wojny światowej. W 1953 roku rodzina Kruppów udostępniła publiczności swoją dawną rezydencję. Od tego czasu odbywają się tu wystawy a główny budynek z wieloma historycznymi pomieszczeniami można dziś zwiedzać.

Ein imposanter Gebäudekomplex, in dem die Familie Krupp Bohlen und Halbach bis 1945 residierte.
Der angrenzende Park eignet sich für ausgedehnte Spaziergänge.

It is a impressive building with an interesting history. I came there by train in a cloudy weather, so the villa looked very martially.
We got there the 60min general tour (there are plenty specialized ones: garden / hidden rooms / kaiser bath / carpets /.. and two general ones 60min for main house only or 90min which includes the side house) with an extraordenary skilled and motivated guide (Pascal). The tour was fun and the guide made it an interesting time with a lot of fun-facts and transported the main picture very well.
Unfortunatelly the house itself missed out in this point. Inside it is at least impressive as it is outside, but it felt allof. It was a living house as well as a business house, but you could not feel either, as there were only empty big rooms. I felt sad that they did not have any furniture (if the originally are gone or too valuable then replica would do it), but there was no feeling of the living spririt, or maybe when guest came in how they may have felt.
The guide told us about a very unique organ, can play by itself, and I would suggest to have it run in the background, so the building doesn't feel this empty.
Neverthless, it is worth a visit and I hope that maybe there are some improvmemts regarding the atmosphere in future.

Die Villa Hügel war für 4 Generationen Wohnort der Industriellenfamilie Krupp. Imposant von außen, gediegen im Inneren. Dazu ein weitläufiger Park, den man erkunden sollte.

Enorm classicistisch landhuis gebouwd in de jaren 1870-1873. Gebouwd in opdracht van de fabrikantenfamilie Krupp. De villa is meermaals gerenoveerd. Gigantisch bouwwerk met enorme uitstraling.

extrem unverschämte Frau am Eingang. Reihenweise werden gut zahlende Kunden beleidigt. so erwas hat dieses wunderschöne Gebäude nicht verdient…

Hallo. Warum können nicht mehr Räume besichtigt werden , wie zum Beispiel das Kaiserbad ? Das wäre hochinteressant . Lg

Hallo Beatrix,
Die Nebengebäude der Villa sind immer zu besichtigen, da hier die permanente Ausstellung der Firmen-und Familiengeschichte untergebracht ist. Das Haupthaus wird über das Jahr für unterschiedliche Zwecke wie Kunstausstellungen, Empfänge oder Firmenevents genutzt. Ich denke dass daher auch, je nach Nutzung, die Zugänge für Besucher geändert werden. Ich habe zum Glück schon mehr gesehen. Aber das Schwimmbad ist mir bisher auch verwehrt geblieben!
