El carril bici para recorrer las marismas desde Aljaraque hasta el final del dique Juan Carlos I es una maravilla, parece que no pueden quedar sitios tan pintorescos en España. La vista a un lado, de Huelva, al otro de Punta Umbría es incomparable.

Nous nous sommes rendu au marais de l'odiel 4 fois pendant nos vacances et chaque fois c'était différent
Très très très bien
Nous n'avons pas pu faire la visite en bateau car trop d'oiseaux nichait
Dommage mais tres positive...

Paseo muy agradable en otoño en las marismas junto a las salinas....
Por recomendación del centro de visitantes Anastasio Senra, realizamos sendero Calatilla de Bacuta. Dejamos vehiculo en el centro de visitantes y a pocos metros antes de llegar pequeño puente a la derecha sale un sendero de 800 metros se recorrido. Pasas una cancela por el lateral, ya que no hay problema para el acceso a peatones e inicia recorrido hasta un observatorio, pasas por el lateral de las salinas y al otro lado del sendero la ría. Observaras bastantes aves, al inicio hay un cartel que te indica las especies más habituales de la zona. Los que más nos gustaron fueron los flamencos.
Recomendable, gorra, prismáticos, y agua.
Volveremos sin duda alguna!!

Vale muchísimo la pena visitarlas. Es todo un espectáculo de la naturaleza.
La fauna y la flora son bellísimas, y el entorno es precioso.

Magnífico paraje natural, donde de encuentra la Playa del Espigón, grande y limpia con fina arena y con diferentes pasarelas para acceder a ellas.
En la pasarela número 6 se puede disfrutar con el perro que también tiene derecho a ello, playa enorme y donde se relacionan con los demás perrunos y hacen vida social. Recomendable. La única pega es que no hay ni solo chiringuito para poder degustar una cerveza fresquita y una buena tapa.

Que vamos a decir que no se sepa de éste espacio protegido. Aquí encontramos un paraiso natural para disfrutar de mil maneras. Sólo hay que venir y observar. Con eso basta.

Es una visita inolvidable.
Lo recomiendo a todas las personas que pasen por Huelva.
Tanto si la visita es por tierra o por mar no les dejará indiferente.

I've visited several times in autumn. It's convenient to reach and usually good birds. Just follow the road and scan round. There are usually flamingoes, gulls and terns on the salinas. Just past the salt works, before the visitor centre, is a small pool with a screen for viewing. If there's water in it there is often a good selection of waders. I've also seen most species from the car park at the visitor centre where you can get drinks and maps. There's a beach at the end of the road.
One warning - the visitor centre has opening hours posted and these also apply to the car park. I once nearly got my car locked in when I had been for a walk and luckily arrived back at 2:30pm just as the staff were leaving for lunch and would have locked the gate.

We stayed in Punta Umbria with the specific intention of exploring Las Marismas de Odiel to view the birds.
Like many other EU funded wildlife centres we have seen in Spain and Portugal, the one in Las Marismas, a mammouth structure that must have cost a fortune, was staffed by one bored lady who was unable, or unwilling, to supply even a basic map of the Park or information sheet. No funds to kerp the buikding in a gokd state of repair or fund sufficient staff. Her only utterence, goid job I have some Spanish, was to say that the "Hides" are a kilometre up the road. Most unfriendly and extremely unhelpful.
So following our noses we found the birds and the hides and there are lots of them...birds not Hides. Saw the Spoobills and around 20 other different species. Not hard as they are all around you. After the area where the Hides are situated, either side of the only road, the birds became scarce. The odd Heron, Egret etc in the marshland. We drove virtually to the end of the road, stopped about 2kms short of the lighthouse by a barrier across the road, and did not see many birds at all.
The most birds that we saw was immediately at the entrance to Las Marismas. As soon as you turn off the motorway there is a pull-in on your right by the salt pans. Park there are walk along the cycle track as far as you like. Flocks of Flamingoes, hundred plus Black Backed Stilts, Redshanks, Great Egrets etc etc. Impressive. Waders as far as the eye can see. A great walk in the winter sun.
The Spoonbill colony is on your left, past the Hides, and there were thirty plus birds in the flock along with a large number of Egrets.
If you are into birds/wildlife there is a free guide for Birds in the province of Huelva, available from the Tourist Offices. "Rutas para la observacion de Aves en la Provincia de Huelva". In Spanish and English and it identifies the areas in the province where you can see the birds and suggests 8 walks from 2kms in duration to one of 16kms. Strange they did not have copies in the Visitors Centre.
We visited Las Marismas 4 times. Low tide when the mud is exposed is best.
