Randonnée à la Trapa près de Sant Elm et de Deia à la cala Es Canyarets. C'était magnifique. C'était notre deuxième voyage dans la sierra Tramuntana. C'est tellement magnifique.

Prachtig, indrukwekkend. Niet voor niets werelderfgoed. Wel goed oppassen met de auto want de wielrenners komen van alle kanten.

We did 2 walks in 1 day out of Valldemossa. Puig de teix to Puig gros. Then Mola de sa comuna - Coll de sant jordi.
Amazing but challenging. Definitely download a map. We used AllTrails app.

Breathtaking scenery throughout the entire range and it can be experienced in a day if that’s all the time you have! We spent our first afternoon driving from Palma to Alaró to hike up to the castle. Walking through olive tree farms with sheep in the fields up to an old military lookout was idyllic. The next morning we drove the entire coast with many sightseeing stops along the way at little class bays and towns on the west and northwest end of the island. Loved Mallorca so much!

The Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was a main reason for me to visit Mallorca, especially for the hikes that can be done here. There were good bus connections from Palma, so I could start at one point and get picked up at another. In mid-December with fantastic weather I was mostly by myself.
There are plenty of beautiful footpaths, often a bit stony as usual in the Mediterranean. One walks through pine forests, past olive groves and around Soller it is full of citrus trees. Everywhere one can see the agricultural terraces built of stone, and encounters fincas and hamlets with traditional architecture. There are views of mountain peaks, like the Puig Major, or of a rugged coastline. Several compact villages offer themselves for separate visits like Valldemossa, Deia, Soller, Fornalutx, Biniaraix or Pollença.

Dedicamos un día a recorrer toda esta maravillosa sierra y fue de lo mejor que hicimos en Mallorca, los paisajes, los pueblos, la vegetación y naturaleza. Una maravilla, eso si, para ir despacio, ya que las carreteras tienen su complicación y lo lógico es disfrutar del paisaje

Prenez une journée pour visiter de A à Z cette route. C'est à dire en partant de Palma de Majorque jusqu'au Cap de Formentor, cela vaut vraiment la peine.
Après l'avoir parcourue et admirée je comprends mieux pourquoi c'est une route de renommée internationale, voire mondiale, qui attire du monde en vélo, moto, auto...
Vous serpenterez en mer et montagne.
Attention toutefois, la route est étroite par endroits. Et il est pas toujours facile de croiser les nombreux bus touristiques et il faut faire également très attention aux cyclistes. Privilégiez une petite voiture !

Fait parti des sorties incontournables si vous allez à Majorque l'expédition avec le bus dans la tramuntana, la visite de la crique, la sortie en bateau et le retour vers Palma avec un petit train en bois tous ça fait une super journée de découverte de l'île

I would like to do a day trip and drive through the Tramutana Mountains from Palma, and possibly go through Soller. Can anyone recommend a route with stops? Towns? We will have a few kids with us.

Nous venons de Marseille en moto et aimerions faire la serra de tramuntana jusqu'a port soller ,la route est belle mais tres sinueuse ,je ne pense pas que ce soit dangereux!! malgré tout,si vous pouvez me renseigner? merci

C’est bien que la Route est belle et ausi tres sinuese, mais c’est en pas dangerouse.
Il suffit de rouler lentement et de profiter du beau paysage. Quand je suis allé, au coucher du soleil, il n’y a pas de circulation.
J’espère que ce sera utile et que vous apprécierez le voyage.

Hi there
Can anyone advise the names of any restaurant ?
I am not sure if anyone is familiar with the troodos mountains in Cyprus but we drove up there and there was some really nice tavernas . So was just wondering if there was anything similar

I have never heard of such a permit and I live here and walk the Tramuntana every day and have done so for the past 11 years !
Bonjour, pouvez nous dire c'est quoi la différence entre le tour à 28 euros et celui à 65.33 euros svp ? Si je comprends bien, on monte à la montagne de serra de tramuntana en voiture climatisée dans le toue de 65 euros et on monte à pied dans le toue de 28 c'est bien cela ? Et après avoir réservé, ou est ce qu'on va se retrouver svp ? Le lieu de rencontre n'est pes précis. Merci

Sorry my language skills are not up to answering your question en Francais. I think your question must apply to different tours employing a guide. I always drive to the start of one of the many walking routes through the mountains, then follow a map and guide myself. If one takes the trail up Massanella, there is a 6 Euro charge but most of the trails are gratis.

Hi, can you tell me how long the hike is? I've seen some sites list 3hrs and others 8hrs. Thank you!

This depends on the hike you want to do. If you are wanting to do the Torrent de Pareis I allow 5 hours from Escorca to Sa Colobra even though it is only about 7 km. If you want to hike up Massanella I would allow at least 6 hours for the return trip. But there is a huge number of other trails through the Tramontana and you can make them as long or short as you wish. The longest of all is the 7 day hike from Port Andraitx to Cap Formentor.
