Nous y étions un 11 novembre, sous un beau soleil, avec la chance d’avoir cet endroit idyllique presque pour nous (nous étions 6 sur la plage !). Pique-nique sur la plage et baignade comme en plein été, sable fin, eau magnifique à 22 degrés... Bref, un pur bonheur. La situation n’est probablement pas la même au mois d’août !

Una playa tranquila muy limpia i con aguas azules. Nosotros fuimos andado por el camino de Cavalls desde cala Galdana... Hay unos mirado des muy bonitos y tb visitamos la Macarella donde hay un bar restaurante

Al igual que macarella, tiene el mejor agua de toda la isla, hay que madrugar y caminar para llegar (o ir en barco) pero merece la pena. Hay veces que esta demasiado llena

Stayed at Melia hotel Cala Caldana, A 5 star huge hotel right on beach front, and a 30 minute drive from Mahon airport. "Extras" eg fridge contents very expensive, beware.. Resort very nice and full of eating places, reasonably priced, but by 2nd week in October some already closing up. Lovely beach crammed with recliners & umbrellas but need to pay E20/day for 2 beds. No hotel beds on beach.
Car rental advised to see island, OK priced and readily available in resort, but don't use hotel car park at E30 per night.!
Lovely walks to Cala Macarella and Cala Mitjana, take stout shoes!
Visit to Ciutadelle and Mao a must.
Bus service good and cheap throughout island.

Nice beach but quite a drive to it ! 5 mikes of difficult road then a 15 min walk to beach . The beach is nice but have been to better ! Not sure it was worth it!

Endroit magnifique, qui se mérite après une bonne petite balade (soyez bien chaussé pour être à l’aise). L’eau est superbe, la plage assez étroite cependant, donc évitez les heures d’affluence

Macarelleta is undoubtedly a stunning beach and cove. It was, however, a bit too crowded when we arrived in the early afternoon. People were coming and going all of the time and really sitting on top of each other on the beach. The sea was calm and shallow and appeared safe for children to play but beware we did see a couple of jellyfish.
We walked there from Macarella over the cliffs. If you don’t like heights this may not be the walk for you. It is quite a climb and you are close to the cliff edge.
It is worth a visit but my advice would be to go early before it gets too busy.

During September you can only access beach by bus from Ciutadella area and tickets must be pre booked so you are committed to a pre booked time scale. Walk from bus stop is a good 20 mins, beach at end is very crowded with a very fast food uninspired restaurant. Beach was too busy and crowded to enjoy our visit

It is much prettier than Macarella next door, and a very scenic beach. Of course everyone knows it so it was very busy.
The path from Macarella, though short, climbs up and down a way. It offers very good views of both beaches though.

I am visiting Menorca this year and as I occasionally like to bathe au naturel, could you please tell me if Cala Macarelleta is clothes optional and if so whether many people bathe naked there (I don’t want to be the only one)

You can wallk from either the Cala'n Bosch area or the Cala Galdana area via the Cami de Cavalls, Stage 11 from Cala'n Bosch, Stage 12 from Cala Galdana. Have done sizable section of both trails and would recommend a mid boot if you have one as ankle support is really helpful on parts of the sections.

Hola. En Macarelleta no hay restaurante. Pero en la cala cercana de Macarella hay un chiringuito.

Según he podido leer este año no se puede acceder en turismo, solo en moto y bus desde Ciudadella.
