‪Authentic Barcelona Bodega‬

‪We dropped in for a couple of glasses of wine and were so glad that we did! The wine was delicious---some of the best we had in Spain! This quaint little shop has been around since the 50s. We loved the interior and you can feel the history. It was quiet, so we were lucky to be able to spend some time with Jose, the owner. Thanks for the chat Jose!
Highly recommend stopping here during your time in Barcelona.‬

‪¡Nunca habíamos experimentado una recepción tan hostil! A pesar de la barra vacía, era obvio que al señor de los vasos no le gustaba tratar con nosotros… nos sirvió tres cuartos de vino tinto, luego nos dio la espalda y dejó de comunicarse con nosotros. realmente terrible teniendo en cuenta las buenas críticas que hay en línea. ¡Lo recomiendo encarecidamente!‬

‪Disastrous experience ‬

‪Disaster of a tasting. Booked the limited edition tasting for 2 people for my husbands 70th birthday and our wedding Anniversary (95 euros each) we love wine and have done tastings all round the world. Had it booked for months with numerous emails to arrange and I even visited a couple of days prior to check all was OK.

We arrived 5 minutes early was greeted by the chap who I spoke to a few days ago, said he was running late, only one other couple there. Over the next 45 minutes he kept coming back, asking what wines we liked, wobbled a bit, then went back to the other couple who had clearly finished.

My husband said, this is off, after listening to what he was saying. Eventually got sat, after 5 minutes of the chap trying to open a bottle of Cava and using the F word in every sentence, it was clear he was completely inebriated! I politely said the tasting was not for us and left, leaving him looking baffled. I have emailed to get an explanation but, after a week, have had no response, explanation or apology for a completely ruined night. I don't might to go with the flow and have a laugh but this really did take the P***

‪The best Spanish wine tasting‬

‪We selected the Ultimate wine tasting and were not disappointed. From the initial red vermouth, produced to a secret recipe, through a Cava to three red wines, we were presented a liquid taste of Spain so different from that available in the UK. The three reds were all amazing, but the "venus" was fantastic so too the Rioja. This is not a "swill and spit" tasting but one to be savoured with the bread chees ham and olives provided. We'll be back the next time we visit Barcelona.‬

‪Wow, what an experience. Jose, who is 3rd generation of this family owned bodega, is super knowledgeable about spanish wines. We did the gold package and it was an amazing experience. Different wines. Different growers. Different conditions to grow the grapes. An educational experience as well as drinking great wines.‬

‪What an amazing afternoon this was, I organised the ultimate wine tasting experience for my best friend’s hen party and we can't thank Sofia and Jose enough for making it an afternoon to remember. The wine and food was amazing, Sofia and Jose were such passionate hosts and did everything to perfection. I would highly recommend this Bodega to anyone who wants a glass of beautiful wine or wants to experience a wine tasting afternoon.
Thank you so much again for a perfect start to our holiday in Barcelona‬

‪The Ultimate Wine Tasting Package.
We arrived and spent a most memorable evening with Jose, enjoying some fantastic wines tailored to our tastes. Great selections Jose.
The bodega was full of people and had a fantastic atmosphere which added to the experience of great wines and plentiful and tasty tapas. Both served in very generously.
We purchased a few bottles to bring home to Scotland and shall raise a glass to toast the memory of a great evening.
Can throughly recommend.‬

Dos copas de vino y tres tapitas de queso.
Tapitas por qué en cada platito de no más de 8 centímetros vienen cuatro cuñitas de queso trasparentes .
Todo bien si no fuera por los 22€ de la cuenta. La camarera simpática ( imagino que preparaba el camino para el palo ) ‬
