La Font de Sant Just (fontaine) se trouve dans le quartier gothique de Ciutat Vella et se situe dans un petit square qui n'offre pas de perspectives de visites ou autres. A l'intérieur se trouve la base d'eau avec deux fontaines en bronze qui s'élèvent directement du mur de pierre. De chaque côté de ces sources se trouvent trois têtes humaines, en bas-relief . L'ensemble du volume est couronné par une balustrade de style très simple et d'époque plus récente. Comme décorations, nous avons dans cette façade trois éléments sculptés dans la pierre. La légende lie Joan Fiveller , comme le découvreur, en chassant, d'une source d'eau dans la Sierra de Collserola , et, dans le projet d'amener ses eaux à la ville, qui en manquait tellement à cette époque. La date de ce fait est 1427 , bien que d'autres historiens situent en 1367 leur construction d'origine. La fontaine offre de l'eau potable.

En la plaza, frente a la Iglesia de Sant Just en pleno barrio gótico, encontramos una de las fuentes más antiguas de la ciudad.

Esta Fonte fica na Plaça de Sant Just, era antes uma construção gótica, mas depois de reconstruída se transformou em neoclássica, construída aproximadamente em 1367, tem 3 faces em alto-relevo com 2 torneiras.

Trata-se de um lugar muito interessante, mas que isoladamente não justifica o passeio. Por outro lado fica muito próximo do bairro Gótico... Então combinar estas visitas é únase ótima dica. Não deixe de parar para tomar um café nos bares que ficam nos caminhos

A Font de Sant Just is a fountain dispensing potable water and is located just in front of the church and square of the same name. The church is great, but if I hadn't been on the lookout I wouldn't even have noticed the fountain. As fountains go, it simply decorated with 3 faces and has two taps.

Frente a la iglesia y en la plaza de nombre homónimo se encuentra una de las fuentes mas antiguas de la ciudad. Mucha historia y todavía permenece en el lugar.

Paseando por el barrio es una de las fuentes que te puedes encontrar, a veces hasta me pasa inadvertida, es una de las fuentes más antiguas por no decir la que más, el conjunto del barrio gótico es inigualable, merece la pena visitarlo, te transporta a otra époc

In quella che per me è una delle piazzette più carine di Barcellona, troviamo fra l'altro questa fonte molto fotogienica che completa il quadro di insieme dominato dalla chiesa di S. Just i Pastor. E' un angolo di Barcellona su cui soffermarsi.

Things are always a little fuzzy when going back to 304 AD but, going on faith and whatever records the Romans left behind, Diocletian ended the lives of a nine year old boy and his thirteen year old brother on religious grounds. Justus (the elder) and Pastor are believed to be the subject of this fountain's naming.
This is the second oldest fountain in Barcelona. In 1367 this fountain, in the Placa de Sant Just, sprung to life. The original three heads would have been the sources for the water. Today there are 2 spigots between the 3 heads. Up above is a single figure of what looks to be a young boy; suppositions are that this is a depiction of Saint Just(us). But, after 100 years, who can really say with any certainty?
In 1831, it had a minor face-lift/reconstruction. It still looks like it is original.
Still, it is a medieval treasure, so simple and free of formality and pomp. Amazing how the people of Barcelona can set up tables, chairs, and cafes around treasures like this that are 1,700+ years old. Seems like they should be under protective glass.

Interesting to look at but very easy to miss if you do not know it is there. If you come from the bottom of the road look back as it is behind you on the wall.
