This was a great experience for all of us. We went with my seven year old daughter and she loved it. Seeing Pompeii was amazing. The communication ahead of time was spot on and we got our train tickets the day before with clear explanations of where to meet and what to expect. Our guide was very knowledgable, nice and answered all the group questions. The lunch was in a restaurant next to the entrance to Pompeii and with very delicious and definitely plenty of food. We had a panoramic drive in Naples where the guide explained about Naples and what we saw. Finally, we had a little bit of free time, around an hour, to explore downtown Naples before getting on the train back to Rome.
Overall, excellent experience and recommend it.

Great day in Pompeii! Transportation worked well. The high-speed train is the way to go. Give yourself extra time at Termini to find meeting point and arrive by 8:45. They take it from there, and it is an easy day of sight seeing. Wish we could have spent more time exploring on own at Pompeii. The ruins are much more extensive than imagined, so using a tour guide is the way to go. The winery offered generous portions of delicious wine and food.

The booking was easy and communication timely throughout the experience. The meet and great at the station was well organised with clear and precise information on the train journey, as was the meet in Naples. The guide was excellently informed and kept a meaningful amount of information flowing throughout the well paced tour. Showing the contrast between Pompeii and Herculaneum. Lunch was excellent with adequate time allocated. Again the return by train was well organised and easy. Would highly recommend this trip.

If you are looking for an independent but perfectly coordinated day trip to Pompeii, I would highly recommend this one.

Wonderful tour of Pompei with the best guide Vincenzo! Very knowledgeable and professional yet fun! Would prefer to travel together as a group but felt safe and everyone arrived together

We were guided to the train in Rome in the morning and welcomed in Naples by our tour guide Ludo. Then we were driven to Pompeii and had some commentary from the guide. We had a long guided visit through the ruins of Pompei. Ludo was very knowledgeable and seemed passionate when showing us around. We then had Lunch in a pizzeria near the ruins, Lunch was ok but we didn't get to choose what we were given (for efficiency). There was some different food for vegetarians but some pizza had meat on them so we just didn't get as much pizza as others which was a bit disappointing. We were then driven back to Naples and Ludo continued talking about the city and showed us around. After a little bit of free time we driven back to the station. Overall a great day out with a great, passionate guide.

Ludwicka was a wonderful tour guide. We saw so much of Pompeii but she always made sure everyone in the group was keeping up and keeping together. The overview of Naples was also great. Fantastic tour.

Excellent day very well organised. Our guide Serena was great with that nice balance of information and keeping the group moving along. Pompeii is outstanding and Naples is a wonderful experience.

This was an excellent tour! The bulket train and transfers in Pompeii were easy and fun. Our guide Rose was amazingly knowledgeable, patient with all the groups quirks, was from modern day Pompeii and had an infectiously fun attitude. The lunch and wine tasting was tasty and with the exception of a slight late train, which gave us a few minutes to explore the Naples train station, it was fabulous. Be careful at Rome Termini station because the pickpockets are bad but if you are careful and aware you should be fine.

Interested in the high speed train tour to Pompeii. We are a group of 6 adults and will be there in late February 2024. I noticed that the all the days for February and March were blocked out. Is the tour available?

When do I need to collect my ticket for 8:45 for "Fast track Vatican Ticket & Self-Guided Vatican Quest Experience"? Would I go in with a tour guide as a group or would I wait in the 'skip the line' line myself? Thanks.

We all went to the Vatican and lined up together. Once inside those on the self guided tour went their own way.

Yes - you still have to wait in line though, as places like the Colosseum and Vatican sell a lot of ‘skip the line’ tickets.
However, you have to wait much longer if you don’t purchase ‘skip the line’ tickets.

I have a small walking disability and use a cane. Which Vatican tours and Colosseum tours would be appropriate as 3-hour tours may be too much for me. Looking for tours anytime on Sept. 20th and the afternoon of Sept 23rd as those are the only times I have free while in town for a conference. Thanks.

Because of the nature of the terrain it will have a level of difficulty. I would look for a tour that deals with disabilities specifically. Take the earliest tour due to amounts of people.

With the 2 in 1 Skip-the-Lines Vatican and Colosseum Ticket, can I visit the Vatican on a Wed. and the Colosseum on a Saturday or do I have to use the tickets on the same day or 2 days apart?

You really can't trust this operator. They cancel tours and you might not be able to visit places at all. I have heard so many bad experiences of them. So think again do you want to maybe see want you want with this operator. Their tours aren't well organized or guided anyway.

Planning a trip with my brother this spring or fall, preferably this spring. We only speak English. We wish to see the Vatican and Coliseum and are looking into what else. We are not early risers . We are now looking for deals to Italy and where we will stay along with tours done in english. May purchase a package but am looking for alternatives. Our father was born in lupine and we will want to go to Tuscany to see his home town and old home and also Florence. Any ideas, product info that you may have for this type of a trip would be appreciated. Packing tips would be great as I have heard that may of the hotels do not have washers and dryers.

All tours are offered in English (and other languages as well). So Google the attraction and pick the tour that fits your time and budget.
I stayed at the Aurelius Art Gallery Hotel in Rome. Rates were fantastic, room was very spacious and clean, and the breakfast buffet fantastic. Definitely book there (with breakfast included in the room rate). Its 1-block from the Metro and has some very nice (and reasonably prices) restaurants within 2 blocks walking distance.
As for packing, I was there for 15 days so I brought 18 days worth of clothes (so I do not have to worry about doing laundry).

When I booked in March it was 79 Euros per person for the Colleseum, Ancient Forum, Vatican tour that was labeled "2 IN 1: ANCIENT ROME & VATICAN CITY"

There are four of us visiting Rome starting Oct 26/2016 We would like to tour Rome for three days, then a day trip to Sorento and finish off in Florence for three days. Does anyone know a good guide as we want a private tour. Ray
