Bellissimo negozio , con tantissimi articoli horror per gli appassionati, in più trovi , sceneggiature, maschere , trucchi e quant' altro piace..... Molto gentilissimi i proprietari, Una tappa obbligatoria per chi viene a Roma sia dall' Italia che dall'' estero !!!

Beautiful shop, with lots of horror items for fans, plus you will find screenplays, masks, make-up and anything else you like..... The owners are very kind, an obligatory stop for those coming to Rome both from Italy and from ' abroad !!! Deep RED the shop of the great Maestro Dario Argento!!!! Pass by when you come to Rome!!!

For Dario Argento/Italian horror fans this store is a must see. Be sure to visit the "dungeon" in the basement to complete the experience.

Lovely little shop selling some fantastic old and new horror merchandise. Had a section of books in English all about the wonderful Italian horror films of the 70’s and 80’s. Well worth spending the €5 to go down into the basement museum. It’s only very small, but they put on a Dario Argento (I think) scripted tour as you look round and he tells you all about the different props and the different films they either represent, or were even used in. I was down there ages as I got my daughter to take pictures of me with literally everything (seemed to be no pressure with how long you spent down there). If you’re visiting Rome and you love the old Italian horror films you simply must pop and visit this magical place.

If you're a fan of the horror genre, and in Rome, you must go here. It focuses on (surprise) Italian Horror films, so you'll either get to see items from films you already know or you'll get introduced to films you might want to watch.
The upstairs is a store, with all kinds of merch; books, costumes, toys, memorabilia, shirts, etc. The basement is a small museum with film props and a narrated tour. It's not long, but it's only $5 to enter and you can take photos. No video though. Owners/operators were so nice and welcoming.

Bellissimo stare in via dei Gracchi a Roma.
L'impronta di Dario Argento è ovunque, dai gadgets, alle maschere, libri, tutto.
Si respira aria di thriller.
Ma il pezzo forte è senz'altro il museo interrato con i personaggi e le ambientazioni dei suoi film.

A quirky store-and-museum dedicated to all things horror (books, films, masks, etc.) The shop is owned by the famous Italian horror director Dario Argento and is named after what is probably his most famous film, Profondo Rosso (“Deep Red”). The basement (small admission charge) is filled with props from Argento films set up in gruesome vignettes. Went there right before Halloween, which was very fun. Hand sanitizer was provided, Green Pass or equivalent was required.

Negozio piccolo ma ricco di storia. Luigi Cozzi sempre simpatico e molto alla mano. Consigliato soprattutto il museo sotterraneo

Negozio piccolo che però contiene numerose ed eterogenee particolarità del cinema horror e di Dario Argento.
Al piano di sopra si possono vedere locandine, fotografie, piccoli e meno piccoli oggetti di qualche film del genere, libri gialli, libri relativi a questo argomento. Si può girare nonostante le dimensioni ridotte per cercare qualcosa che possa interessare. E tutto questo si può osservare con interesse anche se non si è necessariamente appassionati del genere. Al piano di sotto un piccolo museo amplifica quanto visto in precedenza con manichini che possono riportare a film visti o a trucchi che sono collegati sempre allo stesso mondo. La fantasia esprime quello che può e conduce verso oggetti et similia che piacciono ovviamente ad appassionati di questo genere. L'ambiente può essere frequentato, evocando magari vecchi film o libri non sempre trovabili.
Il negozio è centrale, di passaggio ed un'occhiata può essere interessante, senza esagerare.

If you're a fan of Dario Argento or even if you've never heard of him this is still a really cool little quirky place. I went there to get a Suspiria t-shirt for my fella, job done, good selection. There were lots of other curious and cool bits in there. I totally forgot to check the museum, being distracted by the t-shirt hunt and pressed for time, but it's a very interesting place!

Being a huge Dario Argento fan (and, might I add, of Mr Luigi Cozzi-a director whose films I love more and more each viewing), this place was an absolute must see for myself and the rest of our clan on our first visit to Rome. We loved the shop, and the museum is fantastic! Props from films we had all seen many times-bliss!
We also had the honour of meeting Mr Cozzi-he was happy to get a photo with my niece, which made her day!
We have all come home raving about Profondo Rosso-and are already talking about when we will go back! In addition, can I also recommend the online shop? I ordered a DVD when I got home (being too stupid to buy it when I was over), and it arrived promptly! In short, we love Profondo Rosso-you will too!
