We were so lucky to have Ilaria as our tour guide for the Vatican and the Colosseum! We have a mix of interests within the family and Ilaria made the tours interesting and fun for all! She is passionate about the history and so knowledgeable! I highly recommend Ilaria for your Roman Tour guide.

We did 2 tours with Ilaria - the Vatican Museum and the Colosseum / Roman Forum. She was a delight!! Extremely knowledgeable, flexible to our family’s interests and patient with our many questions. She is clearly passionate about Roman history and culture - paired with her sense of humor, we were floored by how much we covered without rushing.
We highly recommend Ilaria to see Rome - she won’t disappoint !

We had a very good stay in Rome, in a beautiful city so full of history. This is why we would like to thank Ilaria, a sparkling woman and exceptional guide who excels both in the teaching of her historical knowledge, as well as in humor and good humor. His visit to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum was truly enchanting, and it will remain among our most beautiful encounters in Rome.

This was my second tour with Ilaria and it was amazing. I highly recommend her for her expertise in Roman history, art, and culture. We toured the Capitoline Museums and nearby ancient ruins. Her knowledge and experience brought the sculptures and paintings to life. It's one thing to see these masterpieces in person, however Ilaria really strives to educate you on their cultural significance, which I really appreciate. It was like traveling back in time. Roman antiquity comes alive with her entertaining descriptions. Her magnificent insight allows you to grasp concepts of everyday life in ancient Rome. Ilaria is simply the best and I will be touring with her again my next time Rome. I recommend contacting her and planning a tour with your interests and accessibility.

I had Lara scheduled for 5 days different trips with different people. All were amazing. Ilaria is so knowledgeable and passionate for all things Rome. I recommended her for a
Sister in law and another brother in law as well as my sister and brother who are coming to Rome in. Feb. i would have no problem suggesting her for any tour in Rome wether it be a food/eating tour or Ancient Rome

Our trip to Rome was one that we will never forget, but meeting with Ilaria as a private tour guide in the city enhanced our time there and, in my eyes, made envisioning the Roman Empire and a city enriched deeply in history that much more meaningful. Firstly, it was easy to communicate with Ilaria and use her as a resource- all her food recommendations, based off where we were in the city, were great restaurants with tasty pizza and wine. She was able to meet us easily, after we toured the Vatican at length, and get a feel for what we had already seen and done in the city while quickly thinking and coming up with a plan for what to see that would complete the Roman experience. We were able to visit the ruins of ancient Rome and get a well-rounded context of what in old Rome has been preserved for tourists. We also got to see an underground church, which was an incredible experience, as it was essentially three stories of churches built on top of each other. Ilaria was extremely energetic, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, kind and fun to be around. I also managed to lose my phone during our taxi ride to the Roman capital building and she helped me track it down by calling the two major taxi companies in the city. If I ever venture to Rome again, I would love to meet with Ilaria again to explore something different in Rome and dive even deeper.

We hired Ilaria on the recommendation of friends who used to live in Italy and she did not disappoint! Ilaria is friendly, knowledgeable, and has a wonderful sense of humor. We toured the Vatican Museums/Sistine Chapel with her one day, and the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum on another day. She expertly guided us through all of these places, sharing her vast knowledge and keeping our young adult and teen children engaged. She made our whole family fall in love with Rome and we can't wait to go back. Also, her warm personality is such that we felt like we had a new friend by the end of our time with her. Till we meet again...

Ilaria is amazing! We contacted her for a private tour at the beginning of our stay in Rome, and the amount of history and cultural information she was able to give us in just part of a day as she guided us through the core of the city was stunning. She is one of the most passionate, funny, and engaging historians I have ever had an opportunity to speak with. Her depth of knowledge and attentiveness to our interests and questions was remarkable. We will definitely schedule more time with her when we visit again! Thank you Ilaria for your guidance and helping us to better understand and appreciate your hometown! You wear your love of Rome on your sleeve, and it is infectious!

Simply the best. Ilaria brought the history of Rome and the Rome of today alive for us with her passionate storytelling and seemingly unending depth of historical context.
I am sure we could have spent a week at any street corner and still be talking up a storm. But no! Ilaria was somehow able to guide us through the historical sights on schedule- without us even realizing we were on time.
She brought so much passion and fun to Rome. I can’t imagine a guide more suited to our curious group. You will be very happy if you are able to arrange a few hours or days with Ilaria.
