‪Bellissima questa fontana, detta anche delle 13 cannelle, visto appunto il numero delle cannelle. Molto caratteristica, da vedere assolutamente.‬

‪6th century fountain featuring 13 masked spouts representing mythical fauns and satyrs. According to local legend, if you drink from the flowing water, you'll return to the city one day. Very pleasant, large fountain in an open space surrounded by countless beautiful buildings and other interesting sights. My wife and I enjoyed the stroll around.‬

‪Bella ed originale fontana caratterizzata da 13 cannelle allo stato non visibile perché transennata per restauro. Dalla cima delle prospicienti scale può essere parzialmente ammirata.‬

‪E' monumento curioso, di buona fattura, impreziosito dai mascheroni in bronzo, tutti diversi; peccato che al momento della nostra visita la fontana non fosse in funzione . . . ‬

‪Le 13 cannelle‬

‪Al termine di corso Mazzini, prima di giungere in piazza Roma, si trova questa caratteristica fontana chiamata anche delle 13 cannelle per il numero delle sue bocche d' acqua, ognuna raffigurante la maschera di un satiro o di un fauno. Sono sormontate dalla raffigurazione del cavaliere all' assalto, simbolo di Ancona. Le maschere sono realizzate tutte in bronzo, ad eccezione di quella centrale, in pietra. È piacevole osservare con attenzione i mascheroni, creazioni particolari dal fascino nascosto, dalle orecchie appuntite e dallo sguardo furbo. La fontana conserva anche un valore folcloristico in quanto bere le sue acque è di buon auspicio per un ritorno in città, secondo il detto locale" se alla fontana berrai, ad Ancona tornerai ". ‬

‪Vedevo mio cugino(piccione di terzo grado)bere da queste fontanelle insieme ai suoi friend. Allora io umano rispetto agli amici di mio cugino piccioni. Provai a bere anche io e mi mandarono all ospedale‬
