This was one of the best tours we have ever taken. We learned about and sampled the very best parmagiano reggiano cheese, prosciutto di Parma, and traditional balsamic vinegar. We highly recommend doing a full day tour if you can because it’s really worth it to have lunch and a visit to the balsamic vinegar factory in the afternoon. All the factories we visited are small, engaging, and of excellent quality. Our lunch was a lovely meal at a countryside osteria with wine and homemade ice cream with our zucchini frittata and pasta. Our guide Silvia was very knowledgeable about all the processes of making cheese, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar, so she could explain very well all we were seeing at the factories and answer our many questions. One huge perk this summer was the air conditioned bus!

Really enjoyed this small group tour of the Parmigiano-Reggiano factory in Parma. Francesco was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. He transported us to and from the factory, walked us through the factory while explaining the cheese production process, and arranged a delicious cheese tasting at the end of the tour. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Parma!

We did a great tour of Parma cheese factory, the host was very knowledgeable and very friendly and the cheese tasted amazing, I would recommend this 10/10!

Two of us joined a group of 8 this morning departing from the travel information centre 9.30 am and enjoyed a wonderful half day tour visiting Parmigiano cheese factory, finishing with drinks and tasting the cheeses. A wonderful tour guide, Jacomio who then had bus driver go to the Parma ham factory, just incredible, finishing again with a drink and ham! A wonderful way to learn about Parma.

MARAVILLOSO tour y muy muy bien explicado paso a paso y en español para mi caso (también lo brindan en inglés e italiano). Hipnotizante experimentar desde muy cerca el paso a paso en la fabricación del Parmigiano. Degustaciones de 12, 24 y 36 meses. Paisaje hermoso.

This is a fantastic food tour! I visited a parmesan cheese factory and a balsamic vinegar factory. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. I was picked up at my hotel and did not need my own car. I had a brilliant morning!

I would highly recommend this tour! There were only four of us plus the guide (who was actually the owner) so we rode in her car instead of a bus! She spoke in English to us and Italian to the other two guests.
She took us to the Parmagiano-Regiano cheese factory in the countryside and told us all about farming practices. Then she showed us through the small farm cheese production rooms and finally the cheese ‘vault’ where the farm owner opened a wheel of cheese right off the shelf, letting us taste it! Finally we sampled cheeses of different ages with wine or water.
Next was the Parma ham factory - again- small farm in the country. No pigs here (which I was not wanting to see!) because they just process the meat. Pretty interesting to learn how they cure the hams. Then a deliciously set table in a tasting room sampling different hams, again with wine to balance it out!
Next our guide dropped us at a very local restaurant for lunch while she returned the other two guests since they were a half day tour. Lunch was amazing, and though neither of us spoke Italian, the restaurant owner took amazing care of us! Lunch was fantastic!
Finally, our guide returned and took us to our final stop, the balsamic acetaia. This was a small plantation house that is transformed into a facility to make and store balsamic. Our guide explained the whole process and showed us the different steps and barrels used to store it as it ages. She allowed us to taste and smell from the barrels, and we finished the tour with a sampling presented by the owner. A delightful dessert was a delicious surprise, too!
Finally, our guide returned us to our parking garage (instead of the starting point which was a bit of a walk). I don’t feel like we took a bus tour! I feel like a local friend drove us through the countryside!! I highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Tastybus!

The tour was very funny a was not so far from Parma. Francesco gave me a lift and all the comfortable tour, the cheese factory was very nice and staffs are adorable. They showed me how to make a Parma cheese and its really an interesting knowledge to know what we eat.

I went on the parmesan cheese tour with Francesco, and he was very knowledgeable about the cheesemaking process. I got to taste cheeses aged at different periods of time and it tasted really good! I liked this tour because the factory is on the smaller side, so there are no crowds and Francesco has close ties with the cheesemaker. You won't be standing behind guardrails on this tour, you get to walk on the processing floor and see every part of the cheesemaking process up close. Highly recommended and it was a great price too!
