‪The Most Delicious Food Tour‬

‪We joined Alice for a morning walking tour of Parma.
It was nothing short of excellent.
We learnt so much of the history of Parma and of course we also tasted so much delicious food from a number of local specialty stores.
Alice was a wonderful guide and host.
The food was absolutely amazing!
We will definitely recommend Alice to anyone visiting Parma.
Thank you Alice.

‪Absolutely the best tour!‬

‪This may well have been one of the best days of touring that we have enjoyed in Italy on this trip. Alicia made our entire day special from early morning until late afternoon, with customized visits to a small farm producing DOP Parmigiano Reggiano, a family owned salumificio where we learned the intricacies of prosciutto di Parma, and finally a producer of fine traditional balsamic vinegar of Reggio Emilia.
And in addition to the tastings that we enjoyed at each of these visits, the day even managed to include a wonderful lunch to enjoy more of the foods and wine of the area. We so enjoyed sharing in Alicia’s enthusiasm, her obvious love for this wonderful part of Italy, and her extensive knowledge of all the food and wine here so special.
We look forward to a return visit in the near future for further exploration with Alicia‘s guidance.‬

‪Best food experience and city tour‬

‪Alice is wonderful! We first met her a few years ago in Parma. She gave us the best tour. When I knew we were going to Bologna, I immediately contacted her. She met us there and again gave a wonderful tour. If you are anywhere in the area, contact Alice. You will be so happy you did. Once you meet her, she is a friend for life.‬

‪BEST DAY IN EMILIA ROMANGA‬

‪A perfect day with Alice! She was THE BEST guide for our first (and best!) day in Emilia Romanga food tour. She has such a detailed understanding of the food and history of this amazing area and it came to life for all of us (5 adults....family and friends). And the lunch and wine at the Tomas Setti winery made it extra special getting to interact with Giuseppe! Thank you Alice for a perfect Day!‬

‪Fantastic food tour in the Parma region‬

‪We booked the Parma Food Tour to get an insight into the production of parmigiano cheese, parma ham and aceto balsamico. Alice, the tour guide, did an absolutely fantastic job and her knowledge, passion and great sense of humour turned the tour into an unforgettable experience! We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone interested in great food and craftsmanship and will definitely book more tours with Exploraemilia on future visits.‬

‪What a day!‬

‪We had only one free day before my daughter started her educational course in Reggio Emilia. It was a Sunday and we were lucky enough to be able to book Alice from Exploraemilia for a day of touring. I can’t say enough great things about her. She is very knowledgeable and funny and down to earth. You end the day as friends who have known each other for much longer than a single day. We started with a tour of a Parmesan making factory. So very interesting and worthwhile. We also toured a prosciutto factory and had a lovely lunch at a hilltop restaurant among vineyards. An amazing day and you cannot go wrong booking with Alice. She even sent us recommendations for things to do in our following week.‬

‪One of Our Top Five Tours, Ever‬

‪My husband and I took the all day Food Tour of Parma with the amazing, fantastic Alice Rossi! We completely agree with the other 5 star reviews of that tour which includes a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy, traditional balsamic vinegar, Parma ham, and a fabulous lunch up in the hills at Agriturismo Alvigneto. We were fascinated by everything we saw and completely mesmerized by Alice's knowledge, passion and clarity. We're old and have been on a lot of tours in our time. This is in our top five. In addition, Alice was helpful giving us advice about how to make a tricky airport transfer and assisting us at the train station. Even if you don't care anything about cheese or ham or traditional balsamic vinegar, you should take a tour with Alice. She'll humanize any process and leave you thinking what you had just experienced was extraordinary.‬

‪Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This‬

‪If Alice Rossi is not the perfect tour host I’m yet to meet such a person. She was just what you’d want and will leave you better informed, enthusiastic about Parma and the region it rules over and you will be guaranteed to want to return when the opportunity might arise. We started talking about out next trip on the evening after our tour. What do you want to know about? Parmigiano Reggiano - that’s covered from the cows to the cheese master to the caves. You can get as hands as you want. Parma ham - get inside one of the producer’s facilities, looking at the stages of preparing, salting, curing, storing and the final table ready moments. Traditional Balsamic vinegar is also there with a look at the rooms where the casks are kept to age over the years and the rich liquid is moved from one to another until it is ready to explode on your tongue. Throughout this you get a running commentary on the history of the region and lunch at a breath taking spot in the hills - for us it was at the just emerging Rocca di Valle di Castrignano, a lovingly restored old property where you can stay, base yourself for hiking or just have a dreamy lunch staring at the hills. The phrase “it doesn’t get any better than this” was made for exploraemilia, especially if your lucky to have Alice as your guide.‬

‪Incredible Food Tour in a beautiful landscape!!‬

‪Exploraemilia is just A-MA-ZING! We made the Food Tour visiting in a full day a parmesan factory, a prosciutto producer and a tradicional balsamic acetaia, including a magnificent italian lunch in a local restaurant. I must say that the whole experience was beyond our expectations. Alice is a wonderful guide, extremely knowledgeable, fun and passionate. We won't hesitate to make another tour with her!‬

‪Fantastic Food Walking Tour of Parma, Italy‬

‪We got very lucky on our trip to Parma, Italy and I want to share this with others who may be planning their trip. Our family of four (with two 14 year olds) had been put in contact with Alice Rossi for a food walking tour around Parma. Alice proved to be very friendly, super knowledgeable and truly enjoyable to spend time around. She planned an amazing excursion around Parma during which we sampled a variety of different delicious foods, met local purveyors and shop owners, and got a lay of the land in this historic city. She managed to work historical and cultural exposure into the walking tour during well planned hiatuses between eating. It was perfect. I should add that the things she exposed us to, and taught us, went on to give direction to the rest of our time in Parma. The tour with her was outstanding and this helped us to have an outstanding experience in Parma afterwards. We very highly recommend Alice Rossi!!!‬
