‪It was an amazing experience! The guide and the boat driver were awesome, very polite and fun, making jokes and telling interesting stories. We took 1 hour private tour, and enjoyed Lake Como’s beauties.‬

‪From the very beginning of the voyage it was apparent that the captain and shore crew is dedicated to customer enjoyment as well as safety. Very nice and comfortable boat, well spoken and sometimes humorous captain, beautiful route. We enjoyed every moment. ‬

‪The Highlight of Our Trip in Lake Como‬

‪This was the second time I used their service for an hour ride in Lake Como. Last time in 2019. The online booking was easy. They always replied any queries fast and right to the points. Luca rode for us last time and I am so happy it was him again this time. Luca is the best! He told us the useful information along the ride but also allow us to indulge ourselves with the beauty of Lake Como. He has a sense of humour as well. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco. It was well chilled and we did enjoy it.

The boat was clean and super well maintained. If it was the same boat in which we rode last time they did an excellent job in maintaining its condition as new.

This cruise is one of the highlight of our trip in Lake Como!

I highly recommend anyone using Taxi Boat Verenna service. ‬

‪This is truly great experience. Our captain, Luca, shown us the interesting places and villas. He is very polite, skillful and helpful too.

2 hours riding on a boat is our unforgettable moment we will always remember. Especially when we, me and my GF, have a memory with.

Highly recommend to anyone want to have the experience on Lago do Como☺️‬

‪We took a tour of Villa Balbianello though Taxi boat Varenna. This boat picked us up in Varenna and we arrived at the most famous Villa in Lake Como in style. Our boat tour was very reasonably priced and included the tour of the Villa. We felt like George and Amal cruising through Lake Como! ‬

I agree with previous comments. Take the ferry from Como to Varenna and then do the tour. This gives you a great trip up the lake and if you have the day rider you can also go to Bellagio / Menaggio while on the trip.

Are you allowed to bring your own drinks and snacks on the boat to enjoy during the trip? I know there are snacks and prosecco offered but wondering if bringing your own is frowned upon.

We took a private cruise. There were 4 of us. We did bring our own Prosecco, canned soda and some chips. Try buying Prosecco in mini bottles which we got at a neighborhood grocer. I don’t recall having been offered snacks during our tour.

Did you do the private tour or the group tour?, trying to figure out if private tour is worth the price it for 2.5 hours and what makes private different.. Also, did you get to go inside the Villa B?

We did a private tour, but there were 4 of us. We enjoyed having our own tour and having some input over the route. We did not go inside Villa B, but we did have about 20-30 minutes to enjoy the gardens and views, which was sufficient for us.

Do these boat tours still run in winter? I plan to ski in the Dolomites in January 2018 and am considering Varenna as a place to visit after the skiing part of my trip. Is it worth visiting the Lake Como area in winter?

In the winter from half November to Febrary I will close. But on the lake the temperature usually it is very low and the navigation is not amazing. Regards Luca

Our 2.5 hr (really lasted about 3hrs) with Taxi Boat Varenna was 55 euro pp. Outstanding! A private option should run about 30 euro per hr pp. For the central lake villages, an unlimited all day ferry pass is 15 euro. All great options - enjoy!
