Un Escape Room all'aperto e in un luogo magico come Venezia è già di per sé un esperienza fantastica, farla poi insieme agli amici e seguiti dallo staff super disponibile di Escape Venice è stato il massimo. Consigliatissimo a tutti .... Grandi e piccini. Da rifare certamente.

Ho partecipato in coppia all'attività "Il tesoro dei Templari". Esperienza bellissima, una buona idea per trascorrere un pomeriggio diverso in compagnia e scoprire qualche angolo nascosto di Venezia. Proverò sicuramente anche le altre attività offerte!

Firstly we love escape rooms and have done a lot of them including outdoor ones. The games master was nice, seemed a bit nervous which is probably understandable if he is speaking a different language. It doesn't feel like there is much atmosphere around the quest / when you get there. You are greeted with two packs of info to to carry around with you and read which is a daunting amount, as well as a notebook and ipad.The puzzles are simple but confusing especially with the translation to English. Some stuff seems too simple that you don't think that could be the answer and many you don't need to be at the actual place to solve them. There isn't enough integration with venice, it feels like you could do most of the puzzles sat in a room with the booklets. You are also carrying a big bag full of boxes for about 60 mins of walking the streets of Venice, with a time limit when there is lots of people around making it slow to move around the alleys of venice. You also have an ipad on you which you use to communicate with the games master and use maps for locations. Half the locations didn't come up on the ipad or we were given an English trnslation of an Italian place name which meant we couldn't find the place at all without help from the games master. The game itself feels anticlimactic. Because you are on a time limit you end up rushing which means you cant really take in your surroundings like other outdoor escape rooms we have done.Plus the bag we had to carry around stained one of our jumpers (see pics).

Imagine having to carry a leather back pack with several bulky boxes in addition to your own backpack on an extremely hot day. Sucks right? Now add in your hands a notebook, a journal, a note pad, a tablet, a pen, oh and your cell phone bc the tablet they give you is of poor quality.
That in itself makes this treasure hunt miserable.
You will spend a 2 hours in the hot sun walking between challenges.
The journal that was written to guide you from challenge to challenge seems to be a translation from another language. Some of the sentences were confusing.
They give you a tablet computer to help you navigate but it is very hard to see in bright sunlight making it unusable unless standing in some shade. Also the internet connection drops out in some places. I had to use my phone to navigate.
I hated the design of this game and wish I never did it. 75 dollars absolutely wasted. Maybe the Italian version of this game is better but I cannot recommend the English version.
That in itself makes this treasure hunt miserable.

Veramente una bella esperienza, abbiamo festeggiato un addio al nubilato divise in 2 squadre facendo entrambe le stanze (Venezia sotto attacco e Mercante di Venezia) ed è stata l'attività perfetta per divertirci e far legare anche chi si conosceva poco.

The idea itself of a kind of "treasure hunt" through Venice like in a Dan Brown novel is great, however the implementation could be better.
The problem is that they give you too many things at hand. You receive a tablet that you basically only need to use a maps app, then you can a folder with lots of information about the different riddles (really an overload of information), a notebook with more information and some more riddles in a bagpack. All the information that people receive should be more "to the point" and the notebook should contain all the written information or otherwise the tablet could include the information. It was still not bad, but really hard to get along with all the information given - even for experienced escape gamers :-)The time of the game should also consider how hard it can be to walk fast through Venice with the enourmous amount of people you normally find there.
So in short: Nice option to walk through Venice and see beautiful places, but minus points for
1) information overload
2) Time for the game calculated too short

Grazie infinite al paziente Leonardo che ci ha seguite , supportate e sopportate per ore alla ricerca del tesoro dei templari ! È stata una esperienza indimenticabile a portata di tutti consigliato anche per chi come noi era a Venezia per festeggiare un addio al nubilato! 🥳🥳

We did the outside escape experience, and it was the worst escape room I have ever played. I am only speaking from the experience that we had when I say I wish I could get those two hours we spent aimlessly wondering around Venice back.
It started with a simple decoded message, that took us to a church. The clue there was completely unrelated to the story and the guy had to help us with it and then he left. It took us a half hour to figure out where to go next. Then we spent about an hour there looking for the clue. The iPad that we had, that we were supposed to use to contact them if we needed something, had no cell reception! So we had to try and get ahold of them on our phone and spent the next 10 minutes trying to fix it.
Also this next clue had a typo in it and told us the wrong thing, so they just had to tell us what it was over the phone.
We walked for another 10 minutes and got to the next location, and once there we were supposed to WONDER AROUND, and eventually find something that related to some random peice of text in the notebook.
Please please if you ever go to Venice DO NOT TRY THIS, I am speaking from my heart when I say it was a poor experience.
