‪We stopped in Cagliari while on a Mediterranean cruise and planned a walk through Parco di Monte Urpinu and up to the top of the hill. It was a very hot day but we still made the effort and were rewarded with amazing views from the top. Well worth the graft!

Look out for the statue San Francesco when you get to the top.‬

‪Grazie a una coppia di amici abbiamo scoperto questo parco non solo stupendo per via dei pavoni che girano liberi insieme a papere e galline, ma anche per i panorami che si possono ammirare da qui, è davvero da non perdere!‬

‪Worth a walk to the top of the hill.‬

‪Parco di Monte Urpinu provides spectacular views. From the park it is possible to see the pink flamingos on the Stagno di Molentargius, and apparently they fly from there nightly.
Catering facilities are limited, but staff are friendly and the cost reasonable.
Whilst clearly the park is maintained, it feels a little tired and better signs and more seating would help.‬
