splendido, l'interno è davvero coinvolgente, accanto c'è anche il rifugio, dove , durante la seconda guerra mondiale, i siracusani, si riparavano dai bombardamenti

Beautiful! Just amazing!
We were there in the summer of 2022, and it was crowded with people. Several restaurants in the area.
The architecture is unbelievable!
The night we were there, there was a movie festival, and the screen was set up on the street and open to everyone to attend for free.

It is a vast and majestic square with lots of nice old Baroque buildings, palaces: the Duomo, the Town Hall (Palazzo Municipale), Church of Santa Lucia etc. There are some bars and cafes nearby where you can relax.

Percorrendo il dedalo di stradine che compone Ortigia si arriva in questa piazza dalla forma originale che come una conchiglia del mare, contiene come meravigliose perle tutte le bellezze presenti. Fra queste la più bella e imponente è il meraviglioso Duomo.

Insbesondere nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit bekommt man Bilder vor die "Linse", die ihresgleichen suchen. Der Mund bleibt vor Staunen offen.

The main plaza in Ortigia is a beautiful marble setting rimmed by classic 18th century buildings. In use all day and respectfully lighted at night for two distinctly different experiences, the Piazza is a treat almost any time of day. A convenient route for crossing the town so opportunities to enjoy it abound.

De jour comme de nuit cette place est très séduisante.

Bella piazza dominata dalla facciata del Duomo. Quello che colpisce é l'incredibile colore della pietra della cattedrale e di tutti i palazzi circostanti: bianca con il sole del giorno, rosa col colore del tramonto
