We had the best day with Katarina and Gabriella. Katarina picked us up, took us to an amazing winery and then to their house for a pasta lesson and a delicious dinner (we made the pasta, Gabriella made the soup, sauces and dessert). They were both so charming and their home was lovely. We felt very at home and was the best day! This is a high bar-you will love it!! We also met their chickens ❤️

We had an amazing experience learning about the history of Florence and learning to cook amazing Italian cuisine. Maia was a lovely hostess, fabulous with kids and her villa and surrounds were absolutely captivating.

This was THE BEST part of our trip to Italy!! I’m not kidding, this was my family’s favorite experience of our 2-week vacation.
We actually spent the evening with Caterina and her wonderful mom, Gabriela. Caterina picked us up just a short walk from our hotel and brought us to her beautiful farmhouse. Along the way, Caterina told us great little tidbits about what it’s like to live there. Driving through the countryside was so fun.
With a warm welcome by Gabriela, we entered their home and got started. While Caterina lead us through the steps of pasta making, Gabriela was in the kitchen making the rest of the delicious dinner.
My family was a group of four and another couple on their honeymoon was part of the group. It was a cozy, warm group that had some laughs and we definitely learned a lot.
We made ravioli and tagliatelle. OMG It was all heavenly! Gabriela made an authentic Italian meal with our pasta. We also enjoyed their own olive oil from their trees. And we also had wine which was also very good. For dessert, Gabriela made us our own individual pudding-type thing. I wish I could remember it was called but I do remember that we all loved it.
I cannot recommend this adventure more. It was so very special for us. You will definitely regret it if you don’t do it. Seriously.

We just returned home from an 11 day vacation in Italy. As my husband and I were reminiscing about our trip, we both agreed that the highlight of our entire vacation, was our time with Caterina and Gabriella on our Accidental Tourist "wine and cook" experience. From the moment that Caterina picked us up in Florence, we felt at home and welcomed. Our first stop at the winery was amazing. We learned so much about wine, and the setting was absolutely breathtaking. The next stop was at their beautiful home where we arrived just before sunset. What a beautiful backdrop for our cooking portion to begin. We lucked out that it happened to be olive harvesting season, and my husband was able to learn a little about olive harvesting. I think he would have stayed all day just to harvest olives! Next up we learned how to make pasta. It was so much fun. Gabriella was the perfect host, and made us feel like we were long time family friends. The food she prepared for us was the best we had on our entire trip. Sitting at their kitchen table, visiting with Caterina and Gabriella, and enjoying food and wine was such a treat. When our time ended, we felt like we were leaving true friends. If we are fortunate enough to return to Italy one day, we would 100% book another adventure with Accidental Tourist. Caterina and Gabriella, thank you again for making our first trip to Italy such a wonderful expereince. We will remember our time with you forever.

My husband and I took the evening cooking class. We were at the satellite location with Caterina and Gabriela. They welcomed us and another couple (who we met while waiting for pick-up) into their beautiful home. Caterina showed us how to make two types of pasta. Gabriela prepared the pasta and our dinner. The food and hospitality were both excellent. We felt like we were having dinner in the home of family friends. Both Caterina and Gabriela were very warm and engaging. We took this class the night of our first full day in Italy, and our amazing experience set a really high bar for all of our experiences that followed. This was truly one of the highlights of our time in Italy. We highly recommend the Accidental Tourist and will return again next time we are in the Florence area.

Caterina and Gabriela were amazing hosts and now friends. It was such a special experience, especially having full attention to our visit. The short ride to their home in the country was a real treat and rest away from the bustling city center. All the views from the cooking location was breathtaking. Caterina was very gentle with her teaching technique and made it easy to learn a new craft, pasta from scratch. Gabriela made each moment special by coming out and offer advice and critique our progress in a positive way. There was so much love poured into the preparation of the food we had. As we tasted each dish, a story arose and we shared common and not so common nuisances of gardening and cooking differences. All the food tasted clean and fresh. The wine was amazing as well and exquisitely paired for the recipes we had. Gabriela informed us of many local traditions and suggested new treats for us to try during our stay. We will definitely be suggesting this tour to family and friends. Meals were served outside on the patio since we visited in November and the weather was absolutely perfect. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for he wonderful memories you’ve helped us make on our first visit to Italy. Ciao

My husband and I had a blast at this cooking class. Majla was so very informative and fun! Her house is very special. Beautiful grounds and a charming history. Her instructions were easy to follow and the pasta was absolutely delicious! There was also cheese, roasted veggies, incredible bread, tasty wine and dessert!
It was definitely one of the highlights of our entire Italy trip!

My wife and I attended Magla's cooking class during our recent trip to Italy. The night was one of the highlights of our ten days in the country! The setting is in an old villa in the hills above Florence, and we felt transported to Old Italia. Not only was the food some of the best we have EVER eaten, but Magla's passion for educating us on natural foods (compared to the many US-processed foods), and Italian cooking kept us engaged in the process. It was a delightful evening of wine, food, fellowship with her, Luisa (who prepared the most amazing meal!), and the other couple in attendance. We truly did not want it to end.

This was the best experience! Highly recommend! We had such fun making pasta in this house dated 1100. The view was amazing. Food and company even better!

We had an amazing time at Katrina’s cooking class! She and her family were wonderful hosts, making us feel right at home—it was like cooking with family and new friends. The pickup and drop-off process was seamless, and her cozy home, nestled in a beautiful, peaceful part of the Florence countryside, added to the charm. We loved every aspect of the experience and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to return with the next generation!

How far are you from the Gucci Mall? Would it be feasible to be picked up from the mall?

Hello! Sorry I missed your message! Our main meeting point is in the center of Florence. The Gucci Outlet is a little under 20 minutes drive from our cooking class location, in the opposite directions from our main pick up point. We are happy to pick up there for private groups.

if you just do the cooking class no stairs at all and a very short walk inside the kitchen and prep area. Pickup and drop off are done on the other side of the river as they don't come into town. You could always take a taxi to the meeting place.

Yes, MBE shipping cost starts at 60€ for 6 bottles, and decreases proportionally. The winery takes care of all that, and the delivery takes about 2 weeks.

You need to contact them directly. We did a day tour with them in May and absolutely loved it! it was certainly one of the highlights of our three week trip.
