Il parco è naturalisticamente molto bello, è da percorrere in bicicletta ( le distanze sono lunghe). C'è un solo sentiero percorribile liberamente, diversamente occorre prenotare una guida turistica(presso il locale ufficio di gestione del parco) così si possono esplorare più sentieri che liberamente sono vietati.
Pur essendo vicino al mare non è accessibile al mare, per questo e per impiegare bene il tempo si consiglia di prenotare una guida turistica.
La segnaletica e la cura in generale del parco non è delle migliori.

natura incredibiile. visitato con un trekking fino al mare con i ragazzi di Azimut-treks!

Tenuta di San Rossore, ex tenuta del presidente della Repubblica, dal 2000 di proprietà della Regione Toscana, si estende per 4800 ettari tra il Serchio, Pisa e l'Arno e rappresenta il cuore geografico del Parco regionale di Migliarino San Rossore - Masacciùccoli è un eccezionale insieme di paesaggi e habitat ( tomboli e lame), con un ragguardevole residuo della foresta planiziaria che fin dal medioevo si estendeva lungo la costa tra la foce del Magra e Pisa. Si puo noleggiare una bici per girare il parco o girarlo a piedi. Essendo un parco molto grande bisogna dedicare una giornata intera. Ne valsa la pena.

Mi ero aggregata ad una gita di una trentina di persone che partecipava alla visita della tenuta in un pomeriggio di sabato che sfortunatamente il tempo non prometteva bene. Dopo vari tira e molla, da parte dei responsabili del parco, ci è stato detto che il tempo sarebbe peggiorato x cui la visita non si sarebbe fatta x allerta meteo!!?? Come alternativa ci offrivano di partecipare alla visione della smielatura, che non è stata presa in considerazione in quanto non aveva niente a che vedere con una gita fatta in calesse in mezzo alla natura. Considerando che potrebbe succedere altre volte che il tempo all ultimo minuto possa variare, la struttura deve prende in considerazione di rimborsare il voucher per poterlo usufruire nel modo corretto!!

Parchi naturali all'estero ne abbiamo visti, era da tanto che evitavamo di venire conoscendo l'organizzazione italiana e non siamo stati smentiti. Nulla, non ci sono cartelli, percorsi, assistenza.... Si brancola nel vuoto e nel nulla. Menzione speciale alla cafonaggine dell' autista del trenino, era parcheggiato, abbiamo chiesto se potevamo salire e ci ha risposto con un secco No. Al che abbiamo pensato, ha finito l'orario. Dopo un quarto d'ora, dopo aver fatto un nostro mini giro, li vediamo girare con gente dentro. Avrebbe potuto dire: parto tra un quarto d'ora oppure sono al completo, nel caso avesse avuto prenotazioni di gruppi. Roba così mai vista. Ma d'altra parte siamo in Italia. A mai più.

Un posto meraviglioso e poco conosciuto. Il parco è una riserva naturale dove sono presenti tantissimi animali liberi tra cerbiatti, cavalli, daini, volpi, e cinghiali. Noi abbiamo fatto l’escursione con la carrozza che ci ha portato fino alla spiaggia del dove c’è una residenza Presidenziale. Veramente immersiva!

Abbiamo fatto il giro lungo in carrozza. Il Parco è splendido. Abbiamo avvistato anche 4 volpi. La guida ottima. Preparata, molto paziente con alcuni componenti della compagnia un po' discoli. Bello tornare in un'altra stagione per vedere i cambiamenti naturali. Lungo mare selvaggio.
Purtroppo alcune ( non tante) persone non rispettano i divieti di accesso al parco.
L'unico neo è la mancanza di un bar che apra prima delle 10 del mattino e la carenza di servizi igienici

Ieri domenica 08/05/2022 abbiamo fatto la gita in carrozza. Purtroppo non ci è capitato il sig. Antonio. Abbiamo avuto come guida (si fa per dire...) un signore di cui non conosco il nome, so solo che era molto robusto ed indossava un giaccone pesante. La gita è durata 2 ore (invece di tre), non ci sono state date nessuna notizia sulla storia della tenuta e neppure sulle presenze dei vari alberi, ne tanto meno ci ha fatto sentire i vari profumi del mirto e della liquirizia. Insomma scena muta. Che delusione. Abbiamo speso 14 euro a testa.

Ogni volta che fai delle escursioni all'interno del Parco rimani magicamente sorpreso. Questa volta con un gruppo di amici ed una guida autorizzata del Parco abbiamo visitato la Tenuta Salviati a Migliarino in prossimità della foce del Serchio. Nel camminare tra le lame si finisce col perdersi in un groviglio di frassini, pioppi e cipressi calvi come in un mondo incantato dove le radici aeree degli stessi cipressi assumono forme antropomorfe, ora sembrando donne in costume. ora folletti sparsi nel bosco. Un mondo dove si viene risvegliati dal picchettio del picchio rosso oppure dal giocare dei piccoli cinghiali nascosti nelle lame insieme agli eleganti daini, che con somma eleganza ti attraversano la strada quasi per danzare in questo specie di paradiso. Magnifici i cipressi calvi con le radici aree ed i colori delle zone paludose. da rivedere in piena estate con la fioritura degli iris ed in autunno con i vividi e caldi colori autunnali

On this March, joining a mainly naturalistic excursion, I traveled an itinerary inside the Park, which I highly recommend. It covers a distance of about 11 Kms round trip, and goes from Torre del Lago to the mouth of the Serchio river.
The route - not signposted but very easy to follow - in Torre del Lago starts from the south end of "Via Venezia" (not far from the hamlet's train station), where the urban street ends and the Park land suddenly begins, protected by a fence.
Proceeding from here always towards south, after a few tens of meters you cross by a bridge the so-called "Fosso della Bufalina", an artificial stream, straight and more or less in an east-west direction, built in the eighteenth century by the Republic of Lucca (which then ruled the area) to drain the excess waters of Lake Massaciuccoli and lead them to the sea. This canal was added to the original natural emissary of the lake, the Burlamacca canal, which heads towards Viareggio from the northern lake shore.
In fact, for a long time the “Fosso” could not well fulfill its function, because it has almost no slope (Lake Massaciuccoli is almost at sea level) and also always at risk of silting up at the outlet into the sea. The introduction of a dewatering pump a few years ago improved the function of the canal; which, however, operates only in the case of lake overfilling due to rains: therefore the stream in the canal is normally very placid, almost stationary, and favors the presence of wild ducks and rather large turtles (we have seen one).
At the bridge, follow the canal (indifferently on the right or left bank) towards the sea, for over 2 kms, until you reach the next bridge. Here you turn by a right angle to the left, then resuming (and maintaining until the end of the path) the south direction, up to Serchio's mouth.
The attractions of the route are mainly two: the path along the Fosso della Bufalina, with the tall forest (holm oaks, oaks and pines of different species) that looms over it on both sides, and that especially at sunset (as it is happened to us on the way back) appears dark and mysterious, truly exciting.
The second attraction is the final path, north-south towards the mouth of the Serchio, which allows you to observe the Mediterranean scrub for long stretches (also protected by fencing nets), and the "fixing" interventions of the dunes operated by the forest services of the Tuscany Regional administration - also with yucca plants, Yucca Gigantea Lem. - and the reforestation of areas of scrub damaged by parasites.
Overall, it's a quite long but flat walk, which is most attractive in the non-summer months. In the summer months, the route is not recommended, both due to the heat in the little shaded stretches of coastal scrub, and to the interference with the crowd of bathers (in places, such as in Marina di Vecchiano, where bathing is allowed).

Per quello che ho visto io la spiaggia libera non è raggiungibile con la bici in quanto è riserva protetta.

Salve, vorrei avere dei consigli per un itinerario da fare a piedi all'interno del Parco per una lunghezza tra i 10 ed i 15 chilometri. Famiglie con bambini buoni camminatori. Preferenza per itinerari circolari con partenza \ arrivo dal Centro Visitatori del Parco. Grazie.

Salve, il parco è immenso, comunque quando siete li c'è un centro informazioni che ha la cartina del parco e sapranno consigliarvi per il giro che desiderate fare, c'è anche la possibilità di avere una guida che vi porterà anche sulle spiagge della riserva del parco che da soli non è possibile visitare!
