I loved it! The Tower is amazing! I stayed only two days, but would come back to stay longer. Small and welcoming town, excellent restaurants. Me and my daughter rented a bike and we went cycling to the beach, 13 km,. All route by cycling. Super safe. The beach is great too. We went on the weekend of the Luminara Party, the Day of the City Patron, one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. More than 100,000 candles lit along the river, on both sides of the city

Pisa 's Lungorni are full of charm at all times of the year as they are dotted with historic palaces such as Palazzo Blu Palazzo Lanfranchi and Palazzo Gambacorti that tell the story of the city , suggestive churches such as Santa Maria della Spina and San Matteo and characteristic bridges . But one day of the year, the 16th of June, which is also my birthday, they reach their peak creating an atmosphere of enchantment. The houses and palaces overlooking the banks of the Arno are in fact covered with white wooden frames on which are placed lights , called lampanini , placed in special glass glasses that , with their golden lights , highlight the majesty of the buildings enhancing their shapes . Thus began the Luminara of San Ranieri, patron saint of the city, whose origins date back to 1688 when the remains of the saint were moved to the cathedral of Pisa, starting a city festival that originally took the name of Illuminazione. This year contrary to the forecasts that for the 16th day foresee the "storm of San Ranieri" the evening was beautiful and we fully enjoyed the suggestion of the illuminated buildings, until the fireworks ripped through the sky with their various colors. But that's not all... the next day when the patron saint's day is celebrated, the Lungorni become the protagonists of the regatta of San Ranieri, a challenge between the four boats representing the four ancient districts of the city to conquer the coveted Palio, in memory of the battle of Lepanto. The regatta is preceded by a small parade with costumed characters, in memory of the maritime tradition of Pisa. These events are part of the Pisan June that ends at the end of the month with the game of bridge historical re-enactment with costume parade in which we hope to participate next year. They really deserve a visit but get ready for the massive participation of Pisans who literally invade the Lungorni... tiring evening but really very suggestive!

Uno spettacolo incredibile, da vedere almeno una volta nella vita. Non c'ero mai stata e quest'anno il 16 giugno (venerdì) ero in ferie e ho deciso di andare. Consiglio di arrivare verso le h 19 così da trovare ancora parcheggio abbastanza vicino al centro. La cosa particolare della festa è che circa 100 000 lumini vengono posti su telai in legno (detti biancheria) che vanno a disegnare le forme architettoniche di chiese, palazzi e torri dei lungarni: il tutto crea davvero un'atmosfera magica. Noi avevamo prenotato la cena in un'osteria vicino ai lungarni alle h 20 così alle h 22 eravamo pronte per trovare un posticino dove godersi i fuochi d'artificio. Nel frattempo però c'era veramente tantissima gente, quindi non è stato facile! Comunque ci siamo messe a metà del Ponte di Mezzo e alle h 23 è partito lo spettacolo pirotecnico che è durato mezz'ora. È stato fantastico, i fuochi vengono sparati da delle zattere sull'arno, mai visti dei fuochi così belli. Insomma una serata bellissima, nonostante la tanta gente presente.

Esperienza meravigliosa. Tutto ben organizzato, non abbiamo avuto problemi di parcheggio, locali a go go, musica per la strada, tanta bella gente che ha voglia di divertirsi in modo sano.

We were lucky enough to be in Pisa during the feast of San Ranieri and got to see this amazing spectacle. We stayed in an apartment overlooking the river so managed to avoid the crowds below and get an amazing view. To celebrate this feast day (which is actually 17th June) the buildings along the Lungarno are decorated with white frames that hold candles the day before (16th). Once the sun has set this gives an amazing glow along the river. To top the night off, a half hour fireworks display along the river takes place. Absolutely breath taking!! I highly recommend scheduling your trip to Pisa around this time.

Partiamo col dire che la pepa ama i fuochi d’artificio quindi ha costretto il pepo a portarla.
Atmosfera incantevole, tutti i lumini accessi sulle case, tutto molto romantico. Fuochi stupendi e iniziati prestissimo (noi, ovviamente, eravamo a bere e quindi siamo dovuti correre sui lungarni).
Un mare di gente, divertente eh però quando ti pestano le scarpe nuove un po’ meno 😡😡
La consigliamo perché è gratis (meglio se abbracciati 😋) però se volete ubriacarvi vi dovete frugare.
Atmosfera incantevole, tutti i lumini accessi sulle case, tutto molto romantico. Fuochi stupendi e iniziati prestissimo (noi, ovviamente, eravamo a bere e quindi siamo dovuti correre sui lungarni).

Per la prima volta ho assistito alla famosa luminara..bellissimo vedere lungarni tutti illuminati e grande spettacolo dei fuochi d’artificio.

Finalmente dopo tanti anni sono riuscito a visitare Pisa durante la splendida notte della Luminara di San Ranieri a Pisa. Un'occasione da non perdere. Una nottata romantica ed esageratamente bella.

Красочно и сказачно, впечатляющий салют под сопровождение музыки. Фасады зданей вдоль реки украшены горящими свечами. Романтическая отмасфера и ощущение праздника. Очень красиво!
