‪Gianni, the greatest person to spend the day with‬

‪We needed a transfer from Civitavecchia to Florence. Gianni picked us up in port at 9am (he drove 3 hours to do so...). From the first email, he was amazingly kind. He offered to customize our transfer to our preference: nice lunch, winery, sites... We chose to see as many villages as we could, so Gianni drove us around Tuscany telling us stories and showing us the most beautiful landscape and sites out there. In a strange way, he managed to keep us dry all day, as if he knew when the next rainstorm would hit. His love of the area is very touching, and the passion he puts in his work is unseen. His knowledge is deep, and his sens of humour witty: every story ended up in the greatest laugh. Siena is fascinating, and having Gianni who was born there explaining the culture and history of this city cannot get ant better. He is truely the best person to spend a day with. We made it to Florence around 6pm, and Gianni drove back home (for another hour or so) There are no rating that can describe this kind of professionalism.‬

‪Best experience of our 2 weeks in Tuscany!‬

‪Gianni is amazing and we know this because he took us on a full day tour quite a few years ago with my aunt and uncle. Earlier this month we spent two weeks in Siena with 3 other couples. Once we planned the dates, I emailed Gianni right away. He took us on two separate tours. The first was a lovely transfer from Florence to Siena with several stops along the way. He chose the most beautiful and genuine locations for us to visit. The van was very comfortable and we all enjoyed his stories and company very much!
The second tour was a few days later and Gianni took us through the countryside for a full day of beautiful views, laughter and of course some delicious wine.
We relied on Gianni and Tours Around Tuscany to take care of our large group of 8 people. He really is the best and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him.
If you are looking for a charismatic and experienced tour guide, Gianni is your man.‬

‪Tour around Tuscany‬

‪We had a recent family trip to Tuscany celebrating our Mother’s special birthday, we met Gianni who gave us a tour around Tuscany, he is an incredible guide and very knowledgeable. He also is very thoughtful and attentive to your needs, it was raining and he would go out of his way to accommodate us. We highly recommend using Gianni, he is a real nice guy and funny also.

‪Amazing trip through Beautiful Tuscany‬

‪We spent 8 amazing days in Siena, Italy and were with Tours Around Tuscany for 6 of those days. On the first day, Gianni our tour guide, picked us up (2 couples) at our hotel in Florence and brought us to our apartment in Siena. We spent 4 days touring all around Tuscany, (3 days with Gianni and 1 day with Angela) and 2 days on our own.

Prior to booking our trip and after doing our research of the Tuscany region, Gianni helped us put together a customized itinerary. He included many historical villages and sites that we had not initially thought of. We were able to see many more sites in a day with this private tour as compared to a larger tour company. Our days were full, 7:00 am till 6 or 7 pm.

Gianni has such a vast knowledge of Tuscany and its history. His entertaining stories gave us a deeper appreciation of the people and the culture of Tuscany. He has a great sense of humor and kept us laughing. Meals were included in our tours and they were nothing short of amazing. We never felt rushed in our tours, Gianni always said to take our time to enjoy the sites. He was very quick as well, to “go the extra mile” like returning to us a forgotten backpack after he was on his way home at the end of a long touring day. We spent one day touring with Angela and also very much appreciated her knowledge of Tuscany and her sweet personality. On our last day Gianni took us to Modena and onto Venice where we said our goodbyes.

We felt totally immersed in the Tuscan experience. The value of our tours exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend Tours Around Tuscany for an unforgettable and unbelievable experience.

We came as strangers and left as friends.

Grazie Gianni (and Angela) for showing us your beautiful country.

‪Amazing tour guide!!‬

‪If you are going to Tuscany, please contact Giani - he is amazing! He is easy to get along with, funny, accommodating, smart, and extremely knowledgeable. When I contacted him with our dates and needs, he was able to put together 3-4 different options with pricing and let us pick. He was able to help with other parts of our trip as well, that didn't include him!! He also helped to steer me in the right direction with some things we had asked if he could do, but had cheaper and easier ways. His transportation is wonderful, 7 seater van with dual A/C, brand new! I can't say enough good things about Giani!‬

‪Unforgettable and amazing trip to Tuscany‬

‪Gianni is, without exaggeration, absolutely exceptional and the best tour guide we've had the fortune of traveling with (many thanks to a friend whose family traveled with him before and recommended him to us). Gianni has not only an impressive depth of knowledge about every tiny village around Tuscany, but also a heartfelt passion for his home region and its rich culture and history. Simply put, our trip would not have been the same without him. We can't wait to book Gianni again when we come back to Italy. Grazie, Gianni! We hope to see you again soon. :) Ciao, Caro & Connor‬

‪Fabulous tour of southern Tuscany ‬

‪Now that I’ve experienced a day with Gianni, I can safely suggest you believe all the wonderful reviews about his tours. We had a fabulous day sightseeing around southern Tuscany. In our email communication prior, I’d said we’d already visited lots of museums and churches, and that we didn’t want these to be a big feature of our day. Gianni noted this, and suggested we just include the monastery at Monteoliveto. I’m so glad we did, because he brought it to life for us. I’m a bit of an art heathen, but I really enjoyed hearing the stories behind the frescos and other beautiful artefacts throughout the abbey.
The rest of the day was spent visiting gorgeous and picturesque towns, listening to interesting stories and being amused at some of the goings-on that have taken place centuries ago right up to present day.
We had great fun and really loved our day out with Gianni in Tuscany and highly recommend Tours Around Tuscany.

‪A great day with Angela!‬

‪When you contact Tours Around Tuscany you will more than likely hear back from Giani. As you’ve read in the many positive reviews - Giani is knowledgeable, helpful and very entertaining. So, of course, it is natural to want him as your guide. However, we feel equally fortunate to have spent the day touring with Angela. She is beautiful inside and out. Our tour day was on a very busy weekend (during the celebration of Saint Catherine and May Day) so traffic was heavy. Angela navigated smoothly, remaining calm & professional. Throughout the day she shared interesting information about the history of the region, day-to-day life in the various “contradas” (districts) within Siena, the Palio, wines & more topics than I can mention here. Some of the highlights for us were visiting the Etruscan Tombs in Castellina and Brolio Castle. Angela brought the history of these places to life for us. The following day we scheduled a transfer to Florence and Giani pick us up. During the hour plus trip (another heavy traffic day) - Giani shared his love for the region and provided a wealth of information regarding travels around Italy. Both Angela & Giani are committed to providing great service. When we got to the train station in Siena - Giani not only helped us with our luggage but also escorted us to the correct track for our train. Thank you Angela & Giani!‬
