В настоящее время в музее проводятся работы ( до 1 марта 2024) и посетить можно лишь часть экспозиции.
Вход платный, разные тарифы, в плату включен аудиогид.

The museum is dedicated to the red cross’ humanitarian goals, with displays covering different episodes in the world’s crises. The headsets which are included in the admission (free with a guest card if you’re staying in Geneva) automatically turn on when you walk into different sections. I enjoyed the visit.

It was nice to learn about the Red Cross, and I especially enjoyed the technology used in the exhibits. For example, the audio guide was able to start and stop on its own, depending upon the exhibit. I think we spent about 1.5 hours in the museum, and we could have stayed longer if our time allowed.
From the train station, it took less than 30 minutes to walk to the museum, and we were able to walk by the UN entranceway along the route.

We weren't sure what to expect having read mixed reviews, but we absolutely loved the museum and restaurant. The museum isn't an information dump as you sometimes find, but a selective interactive experience with a lot of witness accounts told in the first person by holograms. There's many artifacts and an intriguing display of objects made by POWs. Although the museum is on one floor, we spent the whole day immersed in the interactive displays and personal accounts. The museum has the balance just right by offering a fascinating insight into the work of the International Red Cross but not overwhelming visitors.
The restaurant on the top floor is open to anyone and you can visit without having to purchase a ticket to the museum. The food is all freshly made, varied, healthy and reasonably priced and the restaurant itself is a welcoming refreshing space with amazing views. It's worth coming just for the restaurant alone.
We would highly recommend both the museum and restaurant.

We visited here on our first full day in the city. It's a short walk from the centre, just follow the road by the lake, on the road to Lausanne, and as you go round the bend and up the hill keep walking straight ahead, go over the railway tracks, past the UNHCR building on the left and then over the right, past the broken chair statue which stands outside the UN building. Walk round the the left the UN building and up the hill, about 300 metres along on the opposite side of the road stands the museum, just up a flight of stairs.
We paid about 30 Fr for a family ticket and I received a discount due to my age. We were given audio guides in English and directed to walk down the stairs and along the corridor to the area called Diversity where the tour begins. The Red Cross and the Red Crescent have been serving humanitarian causes in conflict zones for over 150 years, there is even an admission of failure from WW2. There are testimonies to listen to as well as artefacts from various areas of conflict it has been involved in.
We were there for about 3 hours and it was worth every penny.

Museum is built and decorated nicely. I believe it describes the organization's work very well and connects the viewer to the experience of the people who benefit from the Org's deeds. On the other hand, there's a slight feeling of self promotion. Additionally, in the Geneva tourist map, this museum appears as a free one. Well, it wasn't. This misleading information should be fixed.

We enjoyed the museum. Our late teens learnt a lot. Much of the Red Cross work is portrayed in interactive stories which worked for us. You must use the audioguide which comes with the admission fee to get anything out of the exhibit. The original Geneva Convention is here. It might not have all the history and foundations of the Red Cross as others have noted, but you can google that. Man, the buffet/ canteen style restaurant on the top floor was pretty awesome. We thought we were in heaven.

This was a powerful experience and a really well done interactive museum. It illustrates both the natural disaster response side of the Red Cross as well as humanitarian crises like wars and violence. It's sad to see what humans have done to each other over the decades...and still do. But the Red Cross has been a respected and invaluable organization in humanitarian aid. This museum will show you. It was about 12 or 15 Swiss Francs and took about an hour to walk through.

Certo va bene anche per i ragazzi più giovani: ci sono varie attività interattive adatte a loro. Magari bisognerà spiegare qualcosa . Per le tariffe non ricordo... certamente di internet ci saranno

volevo sapere se nel museo si potevano vedere mezzi, attrezzi, ecc..di Croce e Mezzaluna Rossa oppure se era solo/prevalentemente una mostra fotografica concentrata sull'azione che Croce Rossa fa in guerra..

i'd like to know if inside the museum there are some old vehicles or instruments or even actuals ones used by the Red Cross/ Red Crescent or if it is mainly a photographic exposition of what the Red Cross/Crescent does/did during wars?
