Located along Boulevard Joseph Tirou and facing onto Place Verte is Librairie Moliere which is a library located in a really beautiful building .
Formally the Hotel Du Telegraphe ,this building has a wonderful facade ,the most striking feature of the building is the tower ,it's clearly influenced by Gothic style architecture ,very photogenic,the best views of the building are from Place Verte ,if you're in Charleroi it's a building I highly recommend you check out .

Mon petit paradis. Ambiance de rêve pour l’es personne qui, comme moi n’on d’yeux que pour les beaux livres. Personnel compétant et agréable. J’y passerais volontiers ma journée.

Une merveilleuse librairie. Avec des libraires bien sympathiques. Et bien sûr un choix des plus vaste.

Vincent Beckers dit : demeure incontournable !
La demeure a tout son charme, étages et demi-étages, on monte, on descend, on change d'univers littéraire à chaque coin et recoin.
Demeure incontournable : cela fait plus vingt ans que je fréquente le lieu, et je ... demeure (ce sera le mot du commentaire !) séduit par la qualité des livres proposés, ainsi que par le personnel ... demeurant toujours sympa, disponible et compétent.
Signalons aussi que les mesures sanitaires sont parfaitement respectées.

During our first visit to Charleroi in December 2019 we had lunch at Chez Duche. Upon leaving we saw a book display and wondered why it was there. A waiter told us local crime author Ben Choquet had located the opening scene of one of his novels at the restaurant. So, we headed to Librairie Molière to check it out. In drab Charleroi we couldn’t have been more surprised to find a huge bookshop in what looked like a white fairy-tale castle. A successful conversion of the grand ‘Hôtel du Télégraphe’ erected in the early 20th century to house the telegraph and telephone services. A pity though the house to the right of the tower has been replaced by a rather awful construction since 1907.
As a bookshop, Molière has it all: a beautiful location, a good choice of books (if you read French), a useful division in sections, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
On our second visit, at the end of the Covid-19 lockdown in Belgium, things were a bit more complicated. We had to wear a face mask, sanitise our hands and respect social distancing. But being able to roam among the books was a pleasure.
As a bookshop, Molière has it all: a beautiful location, a good choice of books (if you read French), a useful division in sections, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Indispensable librairie qui comble tous nos voeux , du plus petit au plus grand . Super étage pour les enfants , avec une excellente sélection d'ouvrages .
