this bridge gives you the most iconic views of dinant. an absolute must visit if you are near. i would recommend dinant to anyone!

I was there for several hours, the city, this view all are beautiful. I like this place and enjoyed spending several hours there

Een brug als gewoonlijk met enkele saxofonen ter ere van de stad. Het uitzicht is wel supermooi dus zeker waard om er eens op te lopen.

Leuk idee met de saxofoons op de brug en met de verschillende locaties maar het is eentje die niet als hoofdactiviteit gepland moet worden maar eerder als leuke pitstop.

This bridge is located on the river Meuse in the city of Dinant in Belgium close to Rue de ka Station. Built originally in the 9th century, tbus famous Bridge was reconstructed number of times. In 2010, number of saxophones sculptures was installed on both sides of this bridge.
We visited this beautiful bridge on 25th March 2023, during our tour to Luxembourg and Dinant. The view from the bridge of the riverside promannedes of the picture-perfect city of Dinant was awesome. Strolling on the walkways on ths bridge is must. You can get a beautiful view of the Notre Dame Carhedral from the bridge. Last but not least, don't forget to Saveur the taste if Belgian waffles on the roadside shops around the the bridge.

Mooi uitzicht van de brug. Over de Maas, naar de kerk. De brug is voor zien van kunst van saxofoons. Kan niet missen van je bezoek aan Dinant.

Dit hoort er gewoon bij. Loop er een keertje overheen en geniet van het uitzicht. De saxofoons zijn heel mooi. Ga s’morgens dan is het niet druk

Charles de Gaulle Sculpture and Bridge
Visitors may wonder at the statue of a young Charles de Gaulle standing at the foot of a bridge that bears his name. The connection is tenuous but Dinant still celebrates the association. Lt. Charles de Gaulle, the future President of the Republic, was shot in the leg during a major battle in Dinant on August 15th, 1914. In commemoration the statue was erected on August 15th, 2014 as part of the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I (or the Great War as it was then called). The bridge was destroyed in both wars and rebuilt. Today it is lined with stylistic saxophones created in the spirit of the nations of the European Union as part of the town’s tribute to Adolphe Sax.
