‪Korattymutham shrine ‬

‪Very peaceful place surrounded by school and people's colony. I went there in December 2019 afternoon time on Monday, it was quite a good experience. If you are tourist you should visit some famous church's other than this.‬

‪"Feast where Poovankula is the offering"‬

‪The St.Mary's Forane Church, Koratty is a 1381 AD established Syro-Malabar church and St. Mary is locally called as Korattymuthy The Korattymuthy's shrine is famous for the offerings - Poovankula (a type of plantain) and crawling on knees during the feast. Other offerings include cash, candles and other valuables. Millions come to the church Irrespective of caste during the feast seeking consolation and they believe that many miracles happen and their prayers will be answered while offering prayers. The shrine is next to Velankanni church as a Marian Pilgrim Center in terms of popularity in India. the feast is in the month of October every year - Saturday and Sunday following 10 October and people from every caste and creed from different parts of the Country attend the feast and seek Our Mother's Blessings.‬

‪The Koratty Muthy Statue is known as miraculous statue‬

‪It is a divine feeling to pray here on evening. This church is built on 13th century and renewed in 1987. It has arosary village is a place to visit and pray.‬
