I had 3 relaxing days with Steve and Jo in November 2024.
At Indigo Divers you feel immediately welcome!
After 5 years of not diving, I needed a little refresher course (1. day) to get a feel for the device and procedures again. So get in the pool behind the house and do some skills. No problem.
The following two days each provided 2 dives. These were excellently organized. Here you can see that the two have a lot of routine. At no time did I worry that anything would not work or cause problems.
The equipment is contemporary and in good condition.
A bonus were Steve's history lessons and anecdotes about Albufeira, the dive sites and the surrounding area! Very informative.
Highly recommended the whole thing! If it takes me to this corner of the world again, I like to dive with them again.

Indigo Divers is the best dive center I’ve ever been to! I’m working on my Master Scuba Diver cert, and the team—especially Jo and Steve—have been fantastic. They’re super knowledgeable (20,000+ dives between them!), making you feel totally safe and supported.
They helped me map out my specialties, from Deep to Peak Performance to Dry Suit, and even adjusted the schedule so I could finish up everything I need. They're pros with all the details, from eLearning to hands-on skills, and make every dive genuinely fun and engaging. Jo and Steve are seriously passionate, and you can feel it in how they teach.
Indigo Divers is perfect if you want friendly, top-notch instructors who really care about your progress. Huge thanks to the team—I'd recommend them to anyone at any level!

First time diving in Portugal, lovely dive centre and people, know their stuff, professional and friendly. I would recommend diving with them.

2 beautiful dives, well guided, be able to take beautiful pictures. Definitely recommended. Good materials and a good rib. Coincidentally, good buddies too.

The owners are very unwelcoming and moody.
Steve (who barely said hello to us) and Jo (who spoke to us only for the size of the equipment) are embittered and not interested in the customer. The group atmosphere is therefore deplorable.
Too bad because the dive sites are pretty and very dense in biodiversity, lots of octopuses. In addition, the material is of excellent quality which makes the experience not catastrophic.

My friends and I had the pleasure of doing our PADI open water diver qualification with Jo and Jeana, and had Steve for one of the exercises.
We found it very informative and enjoyable, Jo was a pleasure to train with she was very experienced, sweet and patient and made sure we knew our stuff thoroughly before moving on and covered anything we didn’t understand until we were satisfied.
Jeana took us on our last two dives and was just as accommodating and ensured we enjoyed ourselves.
We dove the Rocky Reef and Alien Head, two very worthwhile sites to see, managed to spot 7 octopuses on all 4 dives (some could’ve been the same ones), a dream come true for me!
The boat masters were also very helpful and made the boat trip a lot more easier.
Thank you very much Jo, Jeana, Steve and everyone else!

Great diving school, I would highly recommend. It’s a nice relaxing atmosphere. Jo and Steve are really friendly and helpful. I had 4 great dives with Steve who was very knowledgable about the dive sites and marine life. I would definitely dive with indigo again.

My daughter (14 years old) completed her open water dives as part of the PADI Open Water referral. She really enjoyed it, got great instruction from the Indigo team and passed with flying colours! 👏🏼
The team of Jo, Steve, Andre, Kimi and Utta are all great, really helpful, knowledgeable, experienced and fun! 😁
I’m a qualified BSAC diver and have been diving for around 20 years, but the experience to buddy up with my newly qualified daughter was definitely a highlight of my diving experiences 🤿❤️
So much to explore and see. Lots of playful octopus, sting rays, trigger fish, conger and moray eels, colourful nudibranch to name just a few.
If I’m ever in Albufeira again I’ll certainly be booking in and would recommend this dive centre to others. Thanks.

I am an experienced diver with 150-200 dives.
Indigo Divers is an excellent dive centre with well cared for and serviced equipment and friendly, welcoming staff.
Steve, Andre, Kimi and Utta were fantastic and would highly reccomend this dive centre for casual sports diving.

You must do some swimming pool practice first before going diving with just a little briefing for the Discover Scuba Diving program.
Discover Scuba Diving - 1 day program. Theory + Pool + 1 dive in the sea. Holiday program 120Euros with all equipment and insurance included. Promotion: 2nd person pays 90 Euros

Leaving for albufeire tomorrow and I would like to do a few diving trips, I need to rent a trimvest air tank and computer, ill bring My own suit and breater.

No problem to come diving with us, send us a email or pop into the centre and we can tell you our schedule and arrange some dives. We dive daily in small groups and all guided for your help.

Thank you for your question, no problem to try and learn with us, a few options below but there are others on our website:
Discover Scuba Diving - 1 day program. Theory + Pool + 1 dive in the sea. Holiday program 120Euros with all equipment and insurance included. Promotion: 2nd person pays 90 Euros
Description: You will have a briefing & then practice in the pool (normally 40mins-1hour) to get comfortable, after successfully completing some basic skills with a Instructor (with the Instructors approval of safety) we go to the sea for a fun dive to explore the ocean with the Instructor (dive lasts about 30-50mins depending how relaxed you are meaning you breath less, stay down longer!!). After this you get a diploma which counts towards a certification BUT is not a qualification.
PADI Scuba Diver - 2 day course - 1st day of theory an pool and the 2nd day with 2 dives in open water. This certification is valid to dive anywhere in the world to 12 meters always with an Instructor or a Divemaster.
260 Euros that include a Manual, logbook, certification, insurance and all necessary equipment.

I would recommend diving to see more life than snorkelling.

Hello
The ReActivate course can be tailored to you depending how long you have been out of the water.
If not a long time like a year or two and have many dives you could do the ReActivate directly in the sea. 75€ for this training dive.
If you have not dived for more years you will need to do pool session and this is 75€ plus fun sea dives after.
