graziosa cittadina sulla costa ad un'ora di treno da Porto, caratterizzata dalla presenza di canali che la attraversano e ricordano vagamente Venezia. vale senz'altro la pena di una visita di qualche ora. bello il centro storico con i locali che offrono le specialità del luogo. particolarmente vivace in estate per la vicinanza a spiagge e luoghi di vacanza

We fot there and quickly noticed that there was no information available in either train or bus station. No lockers in either stations. They close the station down some night even when there are people waiting for buses. The canals are bring tourist traps. The local food is not worth the day trip. Bored to tears with Costa Nova, just a row of quaint house to watch and that is it. After 5 pm this place basically shuts down and you're left on your own in a ghost town. Stay in Porto but don't bother with Aveiro.

A very disappointing place - definitely not the Venice of Portugal. There are some very pretty houses and buildings but I'm sorry, the canal is nothing special and the boats are not as colourful as they appear in the tourist photos. It felt quite sad and soulless - I wouldn't waste your time, there are much nicer places in Portugal.

Les canaux sont superficiels. La balade en bateau inintéressante. Le centre est mignon mais se concentre sur quelques rues. L'intérêt est très limité et les photos trompeuses.

Rua com edifícios lindos, com uma luz fantástica, sobretudo ao por do sol, pequeno artesanato e os famosos ovos moles um pouco por todo o lado. Embora recomende a Peixinho e a Tricana, mais acima, ao pé da estação de comboios, que também é de visita obrigatória!

Località carina ad un paio d'ore di autobus da Oporto (Flixbus). Per i patiti di instagram tappa piena di colori, con la sua miscellanea di case in stili e colori diversi che spaziano dall' art nuveau al barocco con azulejos sino alle tipiche imbarcazioni dipinte in colori sgargianti che prendono il nome di moliceiros, un tempo adibite al trasporto di alghe, e con le quali è possibile effettuare una tour lungo il canale.

The Ria de Aveiro connects the land to the sea, hoping on a boat (moliceiro) you go along the canals of the lagoon experiencing the city. A must-have gastronomic experience is the regional pastries, in which eggs and sugar are magically combined and called ovos moles - Delicious!

My wife and I recently purchased an apartment in the heart of aveiro.we picked aveiro due to its proximity to both Porto and lisbon .also aveiro is mostly flat which is opposite of porto and lisbon.we will spend half our time in portugal and the other half in the us.as we rent each property as air bnb when we are not there.

La llaman la “Venecia” portuguesa y, no tiene nada que ver (no te vayas a decepcionar). Tiene un canal que divide la ciudad en dos barrios: el rico y el pobre. Unos barcos pesqueros y cargueros tradicionales (Moliceiros), reconvertidos en grandes “góndolas”, con motor fueraborda de gasolina, recorren ese canal llenos de turistas.
Es interesante ver las fachadas de varios edificios modernistas, incluyendo el Museo da Arte Novo.
La cuidad está llena de mendigos, que ya no se cortan pidiendo limosna, incluso a los asistentes a los tours (da mucha pena, pobrecitos).
En el aparcamiento municipal al aire libre y no vigilado de los “Remadores Olímpicos”, te rayan el coche si no das una moneda a los borrachos y adictos que lo “vigilan”. No se ve a la policía por ninguna parte.
Es interesante ver las fachadas de varios edificios modernistas, incluyendo el Museo da Arte Novo.
La cuidad está llena de mendigos, que ya no se cortan pidiendo limosna, incluso a los asistentes a los tours (da mucha pena, pobrecitos).

A charming coastal city reclaiming its youth. Lots to see and do. A canal with canal boats to tour around in, plenty of Art Deco and Art Nouveau buildings, shops with treats only found here, a wonderful beach nearby and best of all, a local tile illustrator who will paint to order!

Is there a dog friendly restaurant in this town ? A small very well behaved cocker. Is there a pet friendly hotel in this town ? It seems quite a place where dogs are discriminated- rather terrible. And please don’t tell me that it’s all to do with the owner cause they will blame it on clients!!!!!! Come on people expand your vision !

There are a few good sites but cant post them here. Tripad wont let me.
We are dissapointed with Aveiro. Better go to Venice or Amsterdam. The city is ok but the boat tour is like Las Vegas, very artificial.

A mi los que me gustan mas son "O Bairro" y "O Telheiro"
están uno al lado del otro.
Cuidado porque allgunos pescados se venden por kilo, el precio del plato no te resulta fácil de calcular porque no sabes de antemano cuanto pesa tu ración de pescado.
