A beautifully maintained garden avenue with an ornate church below and Mount da Penha in the background.
An iconic view of Guimaraes.
A perfect spot for photos, a selfie or to sit and listen to the fountain bubble and enjoy the view.
If you're in the area, Guimaraes is a worthwhile stop to take a walk through the city center, it's a very photogenic town.
We really enjoyed our short stop over here on our way to the Douro Valley.

Well maintained with many colorful flower gardens, manicured shrubbery all in very neat geometrical patterns leading to a twin spired church at it confluence. Definitely a nice phot op! and centerpiece in Guimaraes.

This park/square/garden is beautiful. The flowers look great, it looks very well taken care of and it is a really nice walk to the church on other side of it.

The square looked simply amazing. Despite the second half of September, there were plenty of colorful flowers and perfectly trimmed hedges complemented the wonderful view. It is actually a kind of alley filled with greenery with sculptures that are also fountains. Finesse combined with perfect care.

Initially glimpsed from the walls we then went there with the intention of visiting the church which towers at one end, unfortunately we arrived too late and it was closed. However, the view over the grassy and flowery area is spectacular, so we consoled ourselves with the sight of this.

With the impressive twin-towered Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Consolacao e Santos Passos at its base, this is an attractive square in the modern part of the city centre.
As well as the church, the main feature here is the garden with its low, manicured hedges. The garden is certainly nice to look at, but they surely missed a trick by not including paths to stroll round it and benches from which to enjoy it.

Belle perspective qui se décline à travers de beaux jardins fleuris en ce mois de juin pour aboutir à l'église . La promenade s'impose au milieu des jardins mais on peut aussi admirer tout cela en buvant un verre à l'ombre en haut de l'esplanade .

Il primo impatto con Guimaraes l’abbiamo avuto arrivando in questa ampia piazza con bei giardini fioriti che fa un certo contrasto con il centro medievale che è invece molto raccolto. Bel colpo d’occhio-

Dit plein ligt voor de oude stad, met de richting zuid. Uitzicht op de kerk. Bloemenmozaïeken met geschoren haagjes. Druk verkeer rondom.
